Jimmy Fallon on the Parenting Advice He'd Give Justin Timberlake - 10/22/19

Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake

Entertainment Tonight, 10/20/19 --

As the father of two young daughters, Jimmy Fallon knows a thing or two about parenting. However, the Tonight Show star is the first to admit that he might not be able to provide too much help for his good friend, Justin Timberlake.

Timberlake -- who shares his 4-year-old son, Silas, with wife Jessica Biel -- recently spoke with ET about the challenges of raising a toddler, and Fallon said that, despite being a dad, his experiences were undoubtedly different.

"I have two, I have two girls, he has a boy," Fallon told ET on Sunday of his daughters, 6-year-old Winnie and 4-year-old Frances, while sitting down to promote his most recent children's book, This Is Baby. "I mean Silas, he's a good kid, but he's a boy."

"Even when he was like 2, he was wearing cooler outfits than anyone," Fallon recalled. "I was like, 'Where do you get outfits like that?' He had like baggy pants and like Nikes that are unreleased and stuff. I was like, 'What? This kid is the coolest kid in the world.'"

"I think [for] one of his first words, he was saying 'swag.' He's just so cute," Fallon shared.

So what advice, exactly, does Fallon have for his close friend and frequent comedy collaborator? Essentially, ask someone who knows just a bit more.

"Justin's a good dad and, you know what, when all fails just talk to Jessica," Fallon said, referring to Silas' mom and Timberlake's wife of almost exactly seven years, as the pair celebrated their anniversary on Saturday. "She's awesome, so she'll help!"

*NSYNC's Lance Bass surprises teachers who go above and beyond for their students - 10/19/19

Good Morning America, 10/17/19 --

Two educators who go above and beyond for their students were surprised live on "Good Morning America" Thursday by *NSYNC's Lance Bass.

Frankie Johnson and Chantel Evans-Gatewood, history teachers at Wingfield High School in Jackson, Mississippi, dip into their own pockets to make sure kids have after school activities.

On Thursday morning, Johnson and Evans-Gatewood were surprised with a $15,000 check donated on behalf of the app Cameo.

Darren Dale is also a teacher at Wingfield. He grew up with Bass and told him about Evans-Gatewood and Johnson and the kindness they show their students.

"I was inspired by Darren," Bass told "GMA." "My mom's a teacher. I have a special place in my heart for teachers. He was explaining that teachers spend so much of their own money for their own classrooms so he started a #clearthelist."

Bass said he's cleared supply lists for over 100 classrooms so far.

Johnson and Evans-Gatewood, who also lead art programs at Wingfield, said they plan on using the $15,000 donation towards books, uniforms and costumes and props for the drama department.

Justin Timberlake on "Left-of-Center" Levi's Capsule, Fashion Week Ambush, Halloween Plans - 10/19/19

Justin Timberlake

The Hollywood Reporter, 10/16/19 --

While he has been busy with a multitude of projects, actor-musician Justin Timberlake stepped out on Tuesday night at Levi's Haus in the Hollywood Hills to celebrate his latest partnerships with the heritage California denim brand. Among the guests at the intimate dinner of steak and pasta (catered by Felix chef Evan Funke) were the Haim sisters and Timberlake's musical partners, including songwriter-record producers Rob Knox and Danja and guitarist Elliot Ives, who told THR that the band is spending time in the recording studio this week. (Timberlake recently revealed that he is teaming up with SZA, Lizzo and Meek Mill on new tunes).

The evening marked the launch of the 12-piece Levi's x Justin Timberlake fall-winter 2019 Fresh Leaves collection (the musician's third collaborative capsule line) featuring new takes on his signature hooded shirts, trucker jackets, cargo pants and a reversible down vest ($78-$380) with plaids and an orange camouflage pattern in the mix.

"When you work with such an institution like Levi's, you don't want them to be anything but Levi's," Timberlake told THR. "And so it's just a little bit of a swerve here and there on fit or cut or wash or texture and that's it. And then saying, wouldn't it be fun to make a workman's vest, for instance, or wouldn't it be fun to throw a hoodie on a trucker jacket? For the first two seasons, we created a bit of a left-of-center aesthetic and we just want to continue to play up on that. ... I like to mix things up always."

Another focus of the line is versatility - several pieces are reversible and all are style-wise enough to make the leap to any urban or rural environment. "I get to travel to a lot of different places and I think the biggest part of it, to be honest, is to create something that you feel could be worn in Paris, could be worn in New York, could be worn In Stockholm, could be worn in L.A. and could be worn in Memphis, Tennessee," Timberlake added.

*NSYNC's JC Chasez Approves Seahawks' 'Bye Bye Bye' TD Celebration - 10/19/19

JC Chasez

TMZ, 10/16/19 --

It ain't no lie ... that "Bye Bye Bye"-inspired TD celebration the Seahawks pulled off has *NSYNC's stamp of approval ... 'cause JC Chasez tells TMZ Sports he loved the tribute!!

'Hawks players Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, Jaron Brown and David Moore pulled off what might be the best TD celly of the 2019 season after Brown scored during last week's win over the Browns.

The guys perfectly copied the uber-popular boy band's choreography from their 2000 mega-hit ... so when we saw Chasez out at Alfred Coffee in Studio City, we had to get him to weigh in on their moves.

"I thought it was fun," JC tells us. "It was great to see."

As for whether the players perform an encore of the viral performance or take on another smash hit from the band's discography ... JC leaves it up to them.

But, might we recommend "It's Gonna Be Me" next time?? That song STILL goes in.

Watch the interview with JC Chasez here.

Jessica Biel Says She and Justin Timberlake 'Stayed out Dancing Until 3 A.M.' in Paris - 10/19/19

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

People, 10/16/19 --

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel know how to dance the night away!

On Wednesday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, host Ellen DeGeneres asked the Limetown actress, 37, about the couple's recent trip to Paris, where they attended the Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2020 show at Paris Fashion Week.

"It's so glamorous and fun when you never, ever do that kind of thing," Biel said. "It's so cool to see that, and then - we really went for it. We stayed out dancing until literally 3 a.m. I think we forgot that we were in our late 30s and we thought maybe we were in our early 20s or something."

Biel said that she and her husband of nearly seven years - with whom she shares 4-year-old son Silas Randall - went to a Paris club called Maxim's, though she joked that they normally spend more time at the "fitness club."

"What is that like for everybody to kind of be dancing next to Justin Timberlake?" DeGeneres asked, referencing Timberlake's career as a dancer and musician. "Do they just kind of give up and move away?"

"Yeah, you just give up and move away and sort of admire," Biel replied. "Or, you know, you just throw out your best moves and see what sticks."

The actress also gave an update on Silas, sharing that her son has become quite the comedian.

"Now he is telling the joke and gets the joke," Biel said. "Which is terrifying. He did this crazy thing where he said - we were in St. Louis, this was when Justin was on tour - and he was doing a bit about 'I don't like waffles anymore, I don't like waffles.' "

She continued: "And Justin goes, 'What? What do you mean? You don't like waffles? Are you insane?' And we were in St. Louis. And that's what he said. Justin goes 'Are you insane?' And he goes 'I'm in ... St. Louis.'"

"That's a good joke!" Biel said. "I'm stealing that joke. I mean it was really impressive. So he's doing stuff like that, he's building LEGOs, he loves LEGOs, swimming."

Levi's, Justin Timberlake gift Stax Music Academy Songwriting Lab - 10/15/19

Justin Timberlake

dailymemphian.com, 10/15/19 --

In June, Memphis' Stax Music Academy will celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The academy, its parent organization, the Soulsville Foundation, and others are hoping a new songwriting lab that singer and Memphis native Justin Timberlake and the Levi's Music Project installed there will help usher in its next era.

That next era includes a new Songwriting and Music Business cohort, made possible, in part, by the new Song Lab.

About 25 students are currently in the cohort, which started in August. They will spend a year writing original music, as well as learning how to safeguard their music, distribute it and promote it.

Timberlake and collaborators -- songwriter and producer Timbaland, producer Danja, songwriter Rob Knox and guitarist Elliott Ives from Memphis -- came to Stax for a two-day songwriting workshop in mid-August. During that time students broke into groups of five to create new songs. The musician guests worked with students and also critiqued them.

The donation included the design and build-out of the Song Lab. Stax Music Academy also received instruments, as well as recording, audio and production equipment from Guitar Center, Gibson Brands Inc., Native Instruments, Shure, Universal Audio and Korg. The value of the donations is estimated at about $140,000, according to Soulsville Foundation spokesman Tim Sampson.

Timberlake also committed to a personal $100,000 donation at the student concert, according to Greenwald.

Lance Bass Thinks Lisa Vanderpump's Sarah Paulson Snub Was 'Legit' - 10/15/19

toofab, 10/15/19 --

Lance Bass thinks Sarah Paulson's claim that Lisa Vanderpump snubbed her was "probably legit."

The *NSYNC alum was pretty certain the "Vanderpump Rules" matriarch meant what she said about not knowing who Paulson was after the actress claimed that the restaurant mogul "wasn't very nice" to her at a party one time.

"Oh, I saw that," Bass said while out in West Hollywood last week. "Knowing Lisa, she doesn't know anyone. Like, she is the most anti-Hollywood person because she will never recognize anyone, and she'll never remember the name at all. So like, that was probably legit."

"She didn't even know my husband's name the first four times we had dinner together!" he added of Michael Turchin, whose art adorns Vanderpump Dogs. "I understand 'cause I'm the same way. I'm horrible with names. Horrible with names."

Bass acknowledged that his friend is "way happier now" that she's not on "RHOBH" but is hoping she's simply taking "a little break."

"Look, filming two shows is hard and taxing. You don't have a day off," he said. "So now that she's only down to shooting one show, her life is so much easier. I see the smile back on her face."

Noting he felt LVP was better off without "RHOBH," he admitted he'd "love to see her come back to the show. Just take a little break. Just take a little break right now."

Justin Timberlake Talks Finding 'That Person' in Wife Jessica Biel - 10/15/19

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

Entertainment Tonight, 10/14/19 --

Justin Timberlake can't stop the feeling!

The 38-year-old musician couldn't help but gush about his wife of almost seven years, Jessica Biel, when speaking with ET's Brooke Anderson in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, as he joined the kids of Stax Music Academy as part of the Levi's Music Project. Timberlake is launching his new Levi's "FRESH LEAVES" fall collection on Tuesday, and he couldn't help but sing his wife's praises to ET.

Noting that The Sinner star has changed him "in so many ways," Timberlake adds that Biel helped him through a tough time last year when he was put on vocal rest and had to cancel several shows.

"I think anybody out there, you know, you go through anything, to have somebody by your side to really go through it with you and get in the mud with you, so to speak, I'm sure you know what that's like," he says.

He adds that he's in it for the long haul with Biel, who is the mother of his 4-year-old son, Silas.

"It's like once you find that person, it's like a baptism, where you're like, 'I can't go back,' you know what I mean?" he adds. "Like, I don't, I can't go back, so, which is what fatherhood's like too."

Justin Timberlake Says His New Music With Lizzo 'Is So Good' - 10/14/19

Entertainment Tonight, 10/14/19 --

Justin Timberlake is ready for fans to hear his new music!

ET's Brooke Anderson caught up with the "Can't Stop the Feeling" crooner in Memphis, Tennessee, to talk about working with Lizzo, family life and his new projects, including joining the kids of Stax Academy as part of the Levi's Music Project for a songwriting workshop.

In Monday's episode of ET, Timberlake spills all the details about what he's been up to, and we have a sneak peek.

"I just called my publishers and I said, 'You know, I just want to work with young, fresh people, and I want to collaborate more," Timberlake explained. "I've been songwriting and producing for so long -- I want to experience that energy, and I want to work with people that I think are truly amazing."

That includes working with Lizzo, whom Timberlake met at the Songwriter's Hall of Fame and approached about getting in the studio together.

"I think she thought I was lying, but we got in and we got a couple of ideas," he teased. "I'm not going to tell you too much about what we did together in the studio. If she wants to tell you she can, but it's flames. It is so good. I am so excited about it."

Back in August, Timberlake shared a video of him and Lizzo in the studio, getting fans excited about a collaboration.

"I worked with SZA the other day and just worked with Meek Mill," he shared. "I'm having these experiences that are fueling me in such a different way and, again, I think it was really birthed out of feeling like, what can I do right now to just be a part of my community and integrate."

Justin Timberlake, Levi's donate state-of-the-art songwriting lab to Stax Music Academy - 10/14/19

Justin Timberlake

Memphis Commercial Appeal, 10/14/19 --

Memphis-area native Justin Timberlake and Levi's have teamed up to help the Stax Music Academy.

The Millington-born pop star and the San Francisco-based clothing company recently added Memphis and Stax to the roster of institutions benefiting from the Levi's Music Project, donating a songwriting lab to the South Memphis music school.

The Levi's Music Project is designed to give "young people access to music education programs, community resources and experiences with industry-leading musicians," according to its mission statement. Since launching in 2016, the initiative has completed 15 projects in seven countries.

Timberlake confirmed his involvement and contribution to the Stax Music Academy during an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, part of a story on his work producing young artists, including Lizzo. A formal announcement on the Stax/Timberlake/Levi's Music Project is expected Tuesday.

The Songwriting Lab project at Stax - which has been a closely guarded secret - was many months in the making. Early in 2019, Timberlake and Levi's approached Stax officials with the idea of a philanthropic contribution to the Stax Music Academy.

"We were really excited about it and pushed and worked really hard to make it happen," said Richard Greenwald, president and CEO of the Soulsville Foundation, which operates the Stax Museusm, Stax Music Academy and Soulsville charter school.

"We felt there was a perfect alignment of purpose and agenda and meaning," added Greenwald. "We are all about preserving the legacy of Stax, educating students and inspiring the next generation of artists. We've been emphasizing not only learning about the music and legacy of Stax, but also teaching students about music theory, about how to operate in the industry, how to do recording and production, and how to write their own music."

Eventually the various parties agreed to install The Songwriting Lab, with Timberlake, Levi's and other leading recording companies and musical instrument manufacturers (including Gibson) donating state-of-the-art equipment and gear. Though a figure was not officially confirmed, the value of the lab is estimated to be in excess of $200,000.

Timberlake told Entertainment Tonight that he felt it crucial to both honor the musical legacy of Stax and Memphis but also create a new legacy. "It's important to remember how [Stax] changed the world really," said Timberlake. "But I also want these kids to be able to make their music as well. I want them to be able to cover Aretha Franklin and Otis Redding, but I also want them to be able to sample them and turn it into something else."

Seahawks celebrate touchdown with *NSYNC's 'Bye Bye Bye' choreography - 10/13/19

ftw.usatoday.com, 10/13/19 --

The Seahawks are now the favorite team for every NFL fan.

I'm sorry. Those are the rules.

In the couple seasons since the NFL loosened its celebration rules, we've seen some solid performances in post-score antics. But the Seahawks really took the league's newfound appreciation for the performing arts to an entirely different level.

Following Jaron Brown's 17-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter against the Browns, the Seahawks receivers lined up and performed the choreography to *NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye."

Yes, this really happened, and we are so grateful that it did. The Seahawks easily have the best celebration of the season.

That was great stuff right there, and the pressure will be on the Seahawks receivers to bring that kind of effort for every post-touchdown celebration.

NFL fans certainly enjoyed the celebration - as they should.

Great effort all around, Seattle.

"[Lisa Vanderpump] definitely seems like her old self again [after quitting RHOBH] - she's having such a great time," Lisa's close pal Lance Bass told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY at the Night of the Jack VIP opening event in Malibu on Oct. 2. This news comes four months after the reality TV star revealed she'd be leaving the series after nine seasons. Lance continued, "I think [her new] Vegas [restaurant] has really helped too because she, she really loves her gardens up there, and she gets to go visit it a lot. And so, I think she's really kind of discovering this Vegas lifestyle, which is very, I think Lisa."

Lance further added, "I'm glad she's loving that city because I, I love it too. I used to live there, but yeah, I mean she's good, she's good. Joey Fatone

dailybulletin.com, 10/4/19 --

Even famous people like to get in on the scary fun happening at Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights.

The annual horror fest, which kicked off with a special fan event on Sept. 12 and runs on select evenings through Nov. 3, has attracted some big name talent to the Universal City theme park. Horror rocker Glenn Danzig of The Misfits stopped by and probably felt right at home as he danced among the demons in the park. Singer and actress Vanessa Hudgens is a huge Horror Nights fan and played it cool as she posed with the monsters in the scare zones on the upper lot.

Actress Suzanne Snyder, who played Debbie Stone in the movie "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" decided to relive her time on set and catch up with a few old clowns inside the attraction in the park that's based on the 1988 cult classic. *NSYNC's Joey Fatone was hanging out with Brian Quinn and Joe Gatto of "Impracticable Jokers," laughing and screaming through the mazes while singer Camila Cabello tried to avoid all eye contact with the monsters.

Justin Timberlake Designed the Bar at This New Private Club - 10/4/19

Justin Timberlake

Town & Country, 10/4/19 --

New York City isn't lacking in private clubs. In fact, there are members-only venues dedicated to niche groups seemingly around almost every corner - adventurers join the Explorers Club, thespians can be found at the Players Club, powerful women congregate at Maison, and Masters of the Universe flock to CORE.

But until now, there hasn't quite been anything like NEXUS Club New York, the new private club offering a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city in its stunning Lower Manhattan space.

The attention to detail will feel familiar to anyone familiar with the other NEXUS Luxury Collection properties in the portfolio of the brand, which is owned by Joe Lewis and his Tavistock Group, Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, and Justin Timberlake. Those holdings include Albany, a luxury resort community in the Bahamas featuring 600 acres and a 71-slip mega-yacht marina, and the NEXUS Club at Baha Mar in the Bahamas.

NEXUS Club New York's Shelby Bar - named after Shelby, Tennessee, the hometown Timberlake, who designed the bar himself - is perfect for enjoying specialty cocktails like the Nile Mile Matcha or the Fall Punch, with guests before catching a game on the television sets in the Club Room. Looking for a more romantic experience? Try Champagne and caviar at the Rose Champagne Bar before moving into LOMA Grill, the modern-American restaurant with Italian influences, for dinner.

Justin Timberlake was grabbed by a prankster at Paris Fashion Week - 10/2/19

CNN, 10/2/19 --

Singer Justin Timberlake was accosted Tuesday while arriving at the Louis Vuitton show at Paris Fashion Week with his wife, actor Jessica Biel.

Ukrainian prankster Vitalii Sediuk, who describes himself on Instagram as an "Entertainment Hollywood Reporter," grabbed Timberlake's right leg as he approached the show, held in the courtyard of the Louvre. Security guards quickly pulled Sediuk away, and Timberlake and Biel appeared to laugh off the incident as they continued walking.

Sediuk has pulled numerous similar stunts before, including attempting to kiss Will Smith on a Moscow red carpet in 2012, crashing the stage during Adele's acceptance speech at the 2013 Grammys and grabbing both Leonardo di Caprio and Bradley Cooper around the legs at separate red carpet events in 2014.

The TV movie follows the story of Maggie Richards (Sarah Podemski), a young doctor who inherits her uncle's practice in her small hometown of Love, Alaska. Justin Timberlake says playing golf in Courier Country has been a 'dream come true' - 10/2/19

Justin Timberlake

thecourier.co.uk, 9/30/19 --

Pop superstar Justin Timberlake has told how playing golf over the past week in Tayside and Fife has been a dream come true.

Timberlake appeared in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship alongside world number four Justin Rose for the first time.

The pair previously played together at the AT&T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach in California and it was there that they came up with the idea of teaming up again in Courier Country.

"I've always seen it on television and thought it would be so fun to play," he said.

"These golf courses are on the list of classics so to get to be here with one of my buddies has been a dream come true."

He used to have a tournament named after him on the PGA Tour, the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, which took place in Las Vegas.

Timberlake, who is a member of Liberty National Country Club in New Jersey, was supported from the sidelines by his actress wife Jessica Biel during his special week in this part of Scotland.

Timberlake said golf is the perfect antidote to a relentless touring schedule.

"I think that's why I fell in love with the game because it's always a great break for me just to get away."

Other amateurs playing at Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and the Old Course last week included boxing hero Wladimir Klitschko, cricket legend Shane Warne, Dutch football star Ruud Gullit, Peter Jones from Dragons' Den, and Ghostbusters actor Bill Murray.

Joey Fatone Dishes Survival Tips for 'Masked Singer' Contestants - 10/2/19

Joey Fatone

TMZ, 9/30/19 --

Joey Fatone's pulling back the curtain on how to survive "The Masked Singer" -- take a chill pill. Sounds simple, but just watch ... it's far from it!

We got Joey out at LAX and had to get his take on how to endure the elaborate costumes the 'Masked' contestants wear on the hit FOX series. As you know by now, Joey was the popular Rabbit singer during season one, and eventually finished in fourth place.

For future contestants, Joey says one thing that's inevitable is the constant sweating because they're in the costume for up to an hour at a time. So, don't sweat the sweat.

Even something as simple, normally, as taking a bathroom break becomes a great adventure. Joey says the whole experience created some very morbid thoughts in his head -- but overcoming his claustrophobia is the only thing that saved him.

BTW ... Joey said he enjoyed his 'Masked' journey so much, he got a tattoo of the rabbit. Our photog challenged him on his ink selection, and sounds like he's open to something new ... and hilarious.

Lance Bass

Us Weekly, 9/29/19 --

Lisa Vanderpump is happily moving on after leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, her pal Lance Bass tells Us Weekly.

The former boybander, 40, who's set to appear in episodes of Vanderpump Rules in the upcoming season, gave Us an update on the restaurateur, 59, at the 2nd Annual Environmental Media Association Honors Benefit Gala in Pacific Palisades, California, on Saturday, September 28.

"We just had dinner a couple of weeks ago. You know, we have our weekly dinners. Vanderpump dinners, like, one of the best things ever because it lasts about five hours. And, you know, we get a little wine down us and we just laugh the whole time," he told Us. "But she's doing great. I mean, for the last year, she's been very down. I mean, it's been a hard year for her, her family situation. Of course, the girls turning on her, but it was nice to see her smile again and you know, she's back to Lisa."

Lance Bass of *NSYNC visits Mid-South Fair - 9/28/19

Lance Bass

wmcactionnews5.com, 9/28/19 --

The final weekend of the Mid-South Fair at the Landers Center in Southaven is here.

You can still enjoy live music, food, games, even a petting zoo -- but there are also some changes like extra shows and rides.

Last weekend we caught up with native Mississippian and *NSYNC star Lance Bass, who returned to the fair where he performed growing up.

"Growing up in Mississippi and doing the fairs, forming a little group, I had no idea that I would be getting into that business at all. I just had such a good time with my friends, and it does teach you all about competition and you're going to have losses. In fact, you're going to have a lot more losses than wins in your life and it's a good way to start learning that lesson at an early age. Yes, I lost a lot when I was young," said Bass.

Tickets are $5 for children and seniors and $10 for adults.

Justin Timberlake is turning heads for his style choices at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship - 9/28/19

Justin Timberlake

Golf Digest, 9/28/19 --

Justin Timberlake looks just as comfortable on a golf course as he does on a stage. Paired with Justin Rose, the 38-year-old singer leads the field in style, energy and bunker play at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship - one of the most fun European Tour events on the schedule, played at the Old Course at St. Andrews, Kingsbarns and Carnoustie.

During the first round of the tournament, Timberlake showed that hoodies can be golf-appropriate in a Greyson midlayer paired with light pants and ultra-cool Nike golf shoes. He topped the outfit off with a 1990s-inspired Imperial cap from the new DNA Project collection. The shoes are not available for purchase at this time, but the rest of his outfit is easy to replicate for a casual-yet-stylish golf look. The key to pulling off a non-traditional golf piece like a hoodie is to make sure the entire outfit is tailored to a good fit, and accessories are kept simple to avoid any clashing themes.

Timberlake stepped out on Friday in an all-black ensemble that was refined and cold-weather appropriate. The subtle Greyson Cokato Hoodie print added some spice to the look while the funnel neck and a knit pom beanie added warmth. He wore another pair of Nike Air Jordan golf shoes that are not available to the public.

When the weather turned sour, as it has the tendency to do in Scotland, Timberlake was prepared with a pair of waterproofs from Ralph Lauren RLX, a G/FORE umbrella and a matching Clubglove golf towel. He traded his beanie for another throwback-inspired cap from Imperial with the Wrightson Performance Rope Cap. The light blue accents in his raingear and accessories brightened up his look despite the dark skies looming.

Lance Bass Reveals How Being Comfortable In His Own Skin Led Him To Find His Own Unique Style - 9/25/19

Lance Bass

HollywoodLife, 9/24/19 --

Lance Bass, 40, officially partnered with T.J.Maxx on the new The Maxx You Project, which inspires women of all ages to embrace their individuality, and he shared with HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY, why he chose this project and what it actually means to him. Lance is helping launch "In-Store Changing Room Experiences" which is a new, unique service that involves half life-coaching, half styling, put in place to help women feel comfortable and find their styles. Lance gushed about how excited he is, saying, "I've always been a huge fan of T.J.Maxx and love shopping there to score deals for my home and wardrobe. On a deeper level, T.J.Maxx found that six out of ten women say who they are as an individual is always evolving. Throughout my life, I've undergone so many transitions and milestones that define who I am, so I want to help others going through their own changes. That's why I love The Maxx You Project because it's all about supporting women on their individual journeys. We're all navigating our own paths and I hope through this partnership, I can inspire others to always be true to who they are."

As for what Lance could bring to the table, he admitted, "I love the concept of a 'changing room' that is tailored to help people navigate their individual journeys. Because let's face it, everyone's journey is different and our style most certainly evolves over time. As someone who has personally navigated significant life changes, I'm excited about the opportunity to work one-on-one with different women as part of The Maxx You Project." Sharing his story about navigating through life changes, Lance said, "My individual style has really evolved over the years. When I was performing with *NSYNC my style was whatever our wardrobe department put on me and it was oftentimes 5 sizes too large. I felt like I was wearing a costume all the time. When I finally came out in 2006, I was finally comfortable enough to cultivate a style of my own. Nowadays I'm a huge fan of tailored clothing with pops of bright color. I'm also big on comfort so marrying style with comfort is key for me. I'm now 40 and will hopefully be entering into my new chapter of fatherhood soon so I'm sure my style will continue to evolve. Finding the right balance between that fun side while still being age-appropriate is my new challenge!"

Speaking of *NSYNC, Lance revealed he still speaks to them all the time! "I speak to the guys regularly on our group chat and try to get together whenever we can. We all have such crazy different schedules and we're all never in one place at the same time so it's rare that the five of us get together, but we see each over individually whenever we're able to. They're family to me."

You can enter to win an "In-Store Changing Room" session in a city near you when you visit maxxyouproject.com and complete a submission form.

Celebrities, law enforcement from around the country send injured Madison deputy well-wishes - 9/25/19

WDAM, 9/23/19 --

On a Facebook page called "Praying for Deputy Brad Sullivan," Ted Nugent reaches out to the injured deputy in front of the almost 4,200 followers of the page.

Chris Fox, a Secret Service special ops agent, and his K9 Yannes offer prayers and well-wishes from the Washington D.C. area to the wounded hero back in his home state.

Former standout Ole Miss defensive back Derek Jones, now the associate head coach at Duke University, points out that, "You're always in the line of duty, which means you're always in the line of danger. It takes a special person to make those sacrifices, but I want you to know those sacrifices are not under appreciated and I'm sitting here in Durham, North Carolina, hoping things work out for the best for you."

Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren, country music singer/songwriter Randy Houser, Governor Phil Bryant and Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann, former *NSYNC superstar Lance Bass, and multiple Mississippi State athletic types -- there's no one type of person leaving well-wishes for the deputy who his friends say is all heart.

Lance Bass tells us how coming out helped him to love fashion - 9/20/19

Lance Bass

HelloGiggles, 9/20/19 --

When Lance Bass came out of the closet in 2006, four years after *NSYNC broke up, popular culture was in a very different headspace. The amount of out and proud pop stars was low, and the career risks that went along with claiming your sexuality were far higher.

During the heyday of *NSYNC, Bass feared coming out would get the boy band dropped by their record label and provoke backlash from fangirls crushing on him. This anxiety, fueled by a culture that used "gay" as a punchline, caused him to shy away from using fashion as a tool of self-expression.

Luckily, his fanbase only deepened when Bass came out and published his tell-all memoir Out of Sync. Now, Bass has built a career that travels far outside the '90s boy band universe and enters realms of space travel advocacy, writing, LGBTQ activism, and life coaching.

One of his latest projects includes a partnership with TJ Maxx called The Maxx You Project, an initiative dedicated to helping women embrace the ways personal style evolves during different emotional (and physical) seasons. The initiative includes a Changing Room Experience (touring eight different cities), where women can receive a personal styling and life coach session.

During a recent trip to New York, I was lucky enough to chat with Bass about how coming out helped him embrace fashion, the loneliness he felt during *NSYNC, and the benefits of married life.

Lance Bass Finally Tours the Newly Renovated Brady Bunch House He Wanted to Buy - 9/18/19

People, 9/16/19 --

Lance Bass is living out his Brady Bunch dreams!

A year after the former *NSYNC star was outbid by HGTV to purchase the house, whose iconic facade served as the exterior of the Brady family home on the hit sitcom, Bass was welcomed inside the newly renovated Studio City, California residence.

In a video posted to Instagram on Monday, Bass and his husband Michael Turchin were given an exclusive tour of the home that HGTV recently redesigned to look exactly as it did on the beloved '70s sitcom - and they certainly did not disappoint.

Though Bass, 40, was initially disappointed to lose out on buying the home, the star said he was very excited to see what HGTV did and couldn't think of anyone better to buy the property.

"Now we all remember I almost got this house but I'm super excited HGTV got it because I know it's in good hands," he told the camera before entering the residence. "Honey, I'm home!"

Fisher Stevens Explains Justin Timberlake's Role In Upcoming Movie 'Palmer' - 9/13/19

Justin Timberlake

Billboard, 9/13/19 --

The new Fisher Stevens film, Palmer, will star Justin Timberlake as the title character Eddie Palmer, production company SK Global announced last week. It begins shooting in the fall.

The singer/actor has appeared in some 20 films, including The Social Network, Friends With Benefits, Inside Llewyn Davis, Alpha Dog and Trouble With the Curve, and recently voiced Branch in the Trolls sequel Trolls World Tour.

In talking about the film to Billboard, director Stevens refers to Timberlake's character and "his relationship with an eight-year-old boy in rural red state America."

"Justin is an ex high school football star, gets a scholarship to a big school, gets injured, gets addicted to pain killers. This is all backstory," Fisher explains elevator pitch-style. "Comes back home, thrown out of school and gets into a lot of trouble, tries to rob a very rich family in town, gets caught, attempted manslaughter.

"He's getting out of jail 10 years later, comes to live with his grandmother. Next door is a beautiful 30-year-old woman who's a meth addict, who has an eight-year-old boy, who likes to play with dolls and dress up as a girl in red state America. Justin's grandmother is co-parenting this boy with the meth addict mom who is always off trying to cop dope."

Stevens was in Toronto for the premieres of two films, the Leonard DiCaprio-backed documentary And We Go Green about Formula E racing, which he co-directed with Malcolm Venville, as well as for his role in the '50s-style detective story Motherless Brooklyn, directed by and starring Edward Norton.

He tells Billboard he and DiCaprio are also trying to raise money for a documentary about climate deniers in America. Starring Donald Trump? "No, more like the people who are paid," he says. "Donald Trump is paid to deny climate change in its own way, but more like people who are hired by the Koch Brothers or hired by lobbyists to tell people who don't really do their research, 'it's all fake, it's a liberal conspiracy.'"

Did *NSYNC ever avoid the Backstreet Boys? Lance Bass tells all - 9/12/19

Lance Bass

AOL, 9/12/19 --

Having been in show business for over two decades now, Lance Bass has had his fair share of notable encounters with other celebrities.

Between his days as one-fifth of *NSYNC around the turn of the millennium when all of pop music's biggest acts would go in and out of MTV's "TRL" on a daily basis (think: run-ins with rival boy band the Backstreet Boys) to more recently befriending former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" stalwart, Lisa Vanderpump, Bass has more than a few fun stories to tell.

Recently, while promoting his Bookable Changing Rooms initiative with TJ Maxx, the former boy bander took a trip down memory lane with In The Know, sharing some of his funniest, sweetest and wildest celebrity run-ins from over the years.

New Musical Features Max Martin's Biggest Hits for Pink, Britney Spears, *NSYNC, Katy Perry & More - 9/12/19

*NSYNC

Billboard, 9/11/19 --

Legendary songwriter Max Martin is writing his way into the musical world with & Juliet, which will feature his prolific body of work as a songwriter. From No. 1 hits like Britney Spears' "...Baby One More Time," Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way" and Katy Perry's "Roar," renditions of Martin's golden tracks will be featured on the & Juliet (Original London Cast Recording) soundtrack, which Atlantic Records will release on all digital streaming platforms Nov. 20.

The new West End musical explores the different twists and turns Shakespeare's original Romeo and Juliet play could've made, like "What if Juliet's famous ending was really just her beginning? What if she decided to choose her own fate?" according to the press release.

& Juliet seeks to comically answer these questions as the main damsel in distress gets down to the most iconic pop songs of the last three decades during her journey of self-discovery post-Romeo. Martin and film producer Tim Headington will present & Juliet in a limited circuit at the Manchester Opera House starting Wednesday (Sept. 11) until Oct. 12 before beginning performances Nov. 20 at London's Shaftesbury Theatre. Tickets are available here.

Other renowned songs on the 30-song musical soundtrack include "Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd and "Can't Stop the Feeling!" by Justin Timberlake, part of Martin's impressive songwriting resume as he holds the third spot for most-ever written No. 1 singles (22) on the Billboard Hot 100, following Paul McCartney (32) and John Lennon (26). The musical will feature one original pop anthem, "One More Try," arranged by Grammy-winning musical supervisor/orchestrator/producer Bill Sherman and Grammy award-winning producer/composer/multi-instrumentalist Dominic Fallacaro.

Lance Bass on Hiding Behind Baggy Clothes Before Coming Out: "I Just Wanted to Disappear" - 9/12/19

Lance Bass

InStyle, 9/11/19 --

Lance Bass is many things: Former boy-bander. Filmmaker. Space exploration advocate. Devoted husband. Southern gentleman. Kardashian confidant. Really, the list goes on and on. But ever the over-achiever, Bass has decided to add two new titles to his resume: stylist and life coach. Well, kinda.

For his latest endeavor, the *NSYNC member has teamed up with T.J. Maxx for the company's Maxx You Project, which aims to help women embrace their individuality and the changes that come with different stages of life. Bass was on hand in New York City to celebrate the mission's newest launch, a styling and life-coaching service called the Changing Room Experience (it will tour eight U.S. cities from now through October; for more info, visit maxxyouproject.com).

I stopped by the store to experience the magic for myself with my colleague, Jen - and Bass was up to the challenge of styling not one but two InStyle editors. After asking about our fashion preferences (no major trends, a shared penchant for wearing all black, and a love of outerwear) he browsed a rack stocked with fall staples. "Our goal today is to send you both home with something that has color," he said. "Pops of color are my favorite - they're kind of my thing. So we're gonna go out on a limb here and find something that you're not totally used to!'

After assessing each of our personal styles, Bass proceeded to pick out a few of his favorite pieces for us. "I'm telling you, animal print is so trendy right now," he said, handing Jen a cheetah-print sweater. Then, holding a black star-patterned jacket toward me, he said, "Everyone needs a nice leather bomber, and this one's good - it's very rocker. You can wear it with some ripped jeans and a cute crop top." I do love a good star-themed piece, if I must say so myself.

After setting aside our finds, Bass switched into life-coaching mode. His top tips for living a balanced life include but are not limited to drinking a full glass of water right when he wakes up, stretching "like a cat" to get your blood flowing in the morning, and finding a meditation method that works. ("I visualize this little town made of ice and every time I go back there, I add a little something," he said. "I started doing it when Frozen came out.")

Though he was the one asking the questions for most of our time together, we were able to turn the tables on Bass and ask him a few. The candid star opened up about way more than just his style journey. Keep reading for our full chat with Bass, which includes the revelation that he ignored his interest in fashion to hide his sexuality during *NSYNC's heyday as well as the latest update on his journey to fatherhood (which he says is happening soon!).

Jessica Biel on Working with Justin Timberlake: 'I Would Love to Be His Boss' - 9/9/19

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

Extra, 9/9/19 --

Jessica Biel was at the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend promoting her newest project, "Limetown." The thriller, based on a podcast, is set to premiere on Facebook Watch next month.

The star, solo on the carpet, looked amazing in Louis Vuitton.

"Extra" asked Jessica if she would ever work with her superstar husband, Justin Timberlake, to which she replied, "I would love to produce him in something - I would love to be his boss."

In "Limetown," Biel is taking on another strong character, this time playing Lia Haddock, who investigates the dark secret behind the disappearance of a whole, fictional town. "I don't know why I continue to make myself suffer like this," she said, "but I love it - I love it! I love these characters filled with pathos and trauma and family history and dysfunction."

A Styling Session With Lance Bass Pushed Me Outside My Comfort Zone In The Best Way - 9/7/19

Lance Bass

Bustle, 9/5/19 --

Picture this: You're in an Uber, stuck in traffic, and watching your estimated arrival time bump closer and closer to when you're supposed to be somewhere. It's enough to stress anyone out, but there's extra pressure since this isn't just any appointment I'm heading to. It's a personal styling session with Lance Bass from *NSYNC - my all-time favorite boy-bander and first-ever celebrity crush.

Of course, it's not the least bit romantic of a meet-up, and purely for work purposes, but the nerves are there nevertheless, especially since the idea of clothes shopping fills me with instant dread. Are the outfits going to fit? Will I even find anything I like? Or will I leave embarrassed and disappointed? Luckily, that last answer winds up being a big "no." Still, the feels are real - my '90s nostalgia is bubbling up, along with pesky childhood insecurities of having *no idea* how to dress.

To quickly rewind and explain: Bass teamed up with TJ Maxx's The Changing Room Experience, a country-wide tour where women can enter between now and Sept. 13 to win an hour-long session - half personal styling, half life-coaching - in cities including Chicago, Nashville, and San Francisco. (More details are on The Maxx You Project's website). While the singer hosts the NYC event in late August, model and wellness entrepreneur Danika Brysha and beauty expert-slash-author Africa Miranda are taking over the rest of the tour.

While I enter the Manhattan TJ Maxx a little anxious, I quickly feel at ease when Bass and I sit down to chat. "Styling is all about confidence," he explains. "You want to feel great in what you are wearing and I like to put people out of their comfort zone a little bit." Throughout our mini style sesh, that's exactly what he does.

Sure, Bass may exude confidence now, but he admits, "I was the most insecure during the *NSYNC days. I look back at all the interviews of me... and I'm like, who is that person? I would talk real shy, like down here," he says with his voice dropping, "Because I was afraid of people figuring out who I was. I was hiding this huge secret." That fear hindered his dancing, singing, and overall presence.

Justin Timberlake To Star In Fisher Stevens' SK Global Drama Feature 'Palmer' - 9/7/19

Deadline, 9/5/19 --

Justin Timberlake is set to star in Fisher Stevens' upcoming drama feature Palmer for SK Global, which will begin production this fall.

Palmer, written by Cheryl Guerriero, follows a former college football phenomenon named Eddie Palmer (Timberlake) who, after a stint in prison, returns to his hometown to get his life back on track. There, he faces not only lingering conflicts from his past but also a much more surprising challenge as he finds himself suddenly in charge of a unique young boy who has been abandoned by his wayward mother.

Penotti and Corwin stated, "Justin and Fisher bring a resonant perspective to this emotional story. It is both timely and ultimately a hopeful, entertaining story about the resilience and power of human kindness."

Timberlake recently wrapped production on the upcoming DreamWorks animated feature Trolls World Tour, a sequel to the breakout success Trolls which grossed over $346 worldwide and earned Timberlake a Best Original Song Oscar nomination for his chart-topping hit, "Can't Stop the Feeling!". He had fame, fortune, and millions of voices singing along to the songs his name was stamped across. However, if you looked at Lance's demeanor on his rise to success, you might have spotted that he was somewhat withdrawn.

"I had zero confidence when I was in *NSYNC," Lance told POPSUGAR during an interview where he partnered with T.J.Maxx's The Maxx You Project, a part styling, part life-coaching experience that encourages women to embrace who they are.

You'd think a guy with everything on the outside would be over the moon on the inside, but as you might have experienced yourself, that's not how things tend to work. In Lance's reality, he was holding a huge piece of himself back, and that impacted the way he acted.

"If you look at any interviews of me back in the day, I'm real shy and I don't really talk much and I mumble, because I thought people were going to figure out my truth if I spoke too much and used certain words, they'd be like, 'Wait, I think you might be gay,'" Lance said. "I was so afraid people were going to find out who I was."

That insecurity played into how Lance dressed, too. He wore oversize, dark clothes as an additional effort to hide his sexuality. "I wanted to disappear. I never wanted to stand out," he said.

All that has changed now that Lance is out of the closet and feels comfortable expressing himself, like he did in that bright pink suit at the 2019 MTV VMAs. He said that once he stopped being scared of who he was, his life and career completely changed.

Lance Bass 'Loves Being Able to Play With Fashion' And Wants to Help You Get Dressed Next - 9/5/19

Prevention.com, 9/4/19 --

The 2019 MTV Video Music Awards wrapped up last week, and one teenage heartthrob had the entire world swooning just like we did over his baggy jeans and white sneakers as bass singer of *NSYNC in 1995.

For a very special 20 year anniversary of the band's first performance at the VMAs, former band member Lance Bass paid a special tribute to *NSYNC with a white "Tearin' Up My Heart" T-shirt tucked under his hot pink Mr Turk suit. Is your heart okay? Because mine was not after seeing his look and having the chance to sit down with him and talk about it.

With his bright pink suit paired with bold blue hair, Bass stepped onto the Red Carpet with an air of confidence that comes off as inherit. But the American pop star wasn't always this sure about himself, that's why when you look back at photos from his *NSYNC days, it feels like you're looking at a completely different person - because you are.

"Before when I was with *NSYNC, I felt like I had to be so boring because I didn't want anyone to know my secret that I was hiding," Bass tells Prevention.com. "Our style was a little baggier with bright white shoes. I felt like it wasn't me."

Bass struggled to be his true self for many years, but all of that changed once he came out as gay to the world in 2006. "Now that I've been able to be myself and come out, I love being able to play with fashion."

Today, he's partnering with TJ Maxx for the Maxx You Project to help women embrace who they are and get dressed with confidence. Here are Bass's best tips for dressing and feeling like a 10 every time.

Lance Bass reacts to *NSYNC's wildest red carpet looks - 9/5/19

AOL, 9/3/19 --

Some fashion moments are better left in the past.

Nobody knows that better than Lance Bass, who rocked more than a few head-scratching ensembles during his time in boy band *NSYNC, which famously donned coordinated looks for red carpet appearances during their heyday around the turn of the millennium.

Whether it was five all-denim looks, matching pleather trench coats over oversized turtlenecks or five looks that we're not sure ever really went together, Lance, Justin, J.C., Joey and Chris proved countless times that they knew how to stand out on the red carpet.

Recently, Lance took a trip down memory lane with In The Know while promoting his Bookable Changing Rooms initiative with TJ Maxx and shared his thoughts on some of *NSYNC's most memorable red carpet moments years later, reflecting on how he's grown since those years of early stardom.

"Your individuality comes out of what you're wearing, and it can give you a lot of confidence. Looking back at my *NSYNC years, I was not confident at all in what I wore," he explained. "I look back at that and what I wore and I'm like, 'That's not me.'"

"It wasn't until I was able to embrace my true identity and able to come out that I was able to reflect that in what I wore and started wearing brighter colors and wearing more fitted clothes," Lance added. "I just felt like me at that point."

Meek Mill & Justin Timberlake Spotted Together In The Studio - 8/31/19

hotnewhiphop.com, 8/30/19 --

Justin Timberlake has been teasing his musical comeback for over the past couple weeks, sharing various pics on IG of him collaborating with artists in the studio. We recently saw JT working with rising female sensation Lizzo, and now he's got Meek Mill in the studio.

Moments ago, Meek shared a black & white photo of him and JT in the studio, leaving the caption "I still believe in you and meeee! @justintimberlake @breakitdwn @takdcr."

Now a few days earlier, JT shared a photo of him and Meek chopping it up outside, while JT rocked a sweatshirt that read "did you miss me?" on the back of it, maybe hinting at some sort of theme? JT left the caption "building" as well, hinting that the two were working on something.

The collab will presumably be a part of Justin's upcoming album, despite Meek just announcing he had a new pack of music coming before the end of Summer. Either way, the two have something on the way, and we'll be sure to let you hear it when it arrives.

Justin Timberlake wins celebrity golf tournament in Switzerland - 8/30/19

telegraph.co.uk, 8/30/19 --

Sponsoring the European Masters - the Swiss leg of golf's European Tour - since 2001, Omega made sure the 2019 edition swung into action with a star-studded tee-off on Wednesday 28 August. The annual pre-tournament Pro-Am event brought a roster of international celebrities to the Alpine greens of Crans-sur-Sierre in Crans-Montana, 1,500m above sea level. This year's Celebrity Masters involved a full day's play with 52 teams of four players each.

Many of the sport's top professional players were spotted throughout the day, including Omega ambassadors Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia (who won the tournament in 2005) and Tommy Fleetwood, who were all wearing the Seamaster Aqua Terra "Ultra Light", a new sports watch developed by the brand using ultra-light Gamma Titanium - a titanium-aluminium alloy - and weighing just 55 grams.

Celebrity players who joined the competition included Justin Timberlake, Niall Horan, Dennis Quaid, Anthony Mackie and Michael Pena.

During a celebration party held at Cry d'Er restaurant, situated at 2,200 metres in the Alps, where music was provided courtesy of Swiss rocker Bastion Baker, Omega President and CEO, Raynald Aeschlimann, presented Timberlake - the top celebrity scorer of the day - with his Celebrity Masters trophy.

Lizzo on Justin Timberlake collab: 'He gets lit in the studio' - 8/30/19

ABC News, 8/28/19 --

On Instagram, fans said they couldn't wait to hear what the two were working on, but others were skeptical, referencing Timberlake's past Super Bowl controversy with Janet Jackson.

Now, Lizzo herself is talking about the collab, and she's nothing but positive.

"I had fun doing it," Lizzo told Entertainment Tonight. "Collaborations, for me, is about the energy and the relationship. I mean, it is Justin Timberlake, so I am not trying to be like, 'Ahh, I didn't have a good vibe with Justin Timberlake.'"

She added, "We had a lot of fun, we laughed a lot, he's got great energy. And so do I, and so whatever we do will be made from love and made from fun."

While Lizzo didn't indicate when we'd hear the collaboration, she did tease, "He gets lit in the studio. He goes crazy. He was like, 'Turn up!' It's his world, we're all kind of living in it."

But the "Juice" star doesn't need JT's help to succeed.

Her hit "Truth Hurts" has just topped Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, displacing Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" after a record 20 weeks.

Lance Bass thought he wasn't meant for fatherhood - 8/30/19

wdel.com, 8/29/19 --

Lance Bass thought the "universe didn't want" him to have kids.

The 40-year-old singer and his husband Michael Turchin are currently exploring surrogacy options so they can start a family together, and Lance has now said that after having "gone through seven donors" and hit "a lot of walls", he began to think he was never destined to be a father.

He said: "There's a lot of walls that you hit. I mean we've been working for about a year and a half on creating our family. We've gone through seven donors ... it gets frustrating. And then there's a point where you're like, 'Well maybe the universe doesn't want me to have kids.' I mean, my whole life I've had this dream of starting a family and then you're like, 'Is this just not meant to be?'."

The *NSYNC star and his spouse aren't giving up though, and Lance is now sure that kids are "in the cards" for the couple.

He added: "But we're still going through it, I do think it's meant for us. It's in the cards, and I hope within the next ... very soon I can announce something very positive. I'm hoping for 2020."

And Lance also admits the struggle to find a surrogate has brought him and Michael - whom he married in 2014 - closer together.

Justin Timberlake's Golf Lessons for Son Silas Are Un-Fore-Gettable - 8/30/19

E! Online, 8/28/19 --

Forget about a suit and tie! All these two need is a club and ball.

As Justin Timberlake enjoyed a summer getaway to Switzerland, the music superstar was able to savor some time on the golf course with his son Silas.

But instead of just exploring the 18 holes and picture-perfect views, Justin wanted to pass down his golfing skills. What came next was a Kodak moment caught on tape.

While wearing a pink and purple floral polo with khaki pants, J.T. demonstrated the skills you need to win big.

And although Silas is only four years old, the growing boy appeared to enjoy every moment as he wore a polo shirt with shorts.

You can check out the photo of Justin and Silas here. Zimbio has more pictures of Justin Timberlake at the Omega European Masters golf tournament here.

Lance Bass remembers his grandfather - 8/30/19

View this post on Instagram

Today we lost a true angel on earth. My Papa has moved on to his next adventure in the stars. Elza "Shorty" Pulliam was born sept 8, 1927 in Ellisville, Mississippi where he spent the next 93 years spreading genuine kindness, selflessness, and a larger than life humor to all those who crossed his path. He was also a Korean War veteran and despite some harrowing times in combat he never let those experiences dim his light. What I'll remember most fondly about my Papa was his ability to make everyone around him laugh, and he did just that until the very end. I've always said I got my wicked sense of humor and knack for scaring people from my papa, and I know I'll keep his memory alive every time I say one of my cheesy jokes or scare my husband (see #LanceScares - sorry, Michael!). I love my Papa with all my heart and although this isn't easy for me and my family we are at peace knowing he spent his long life doing what he loved surrounded by the people he loved most. Until we meet again, Papa. Love you forever. ??

Star Wars, new gondola coming to Disney World in Orlando - 8/26/19

Palm Beach Post, 8/26/19 --

Joey Fatone practically hyperventilates when he talks about flying Star Wars' Millennium Falcon.

It's a full-size replica of the starship Han Solo and Chewbacca fly -- complete with major thrills.

"It's nerve-wracking! Lots of stuff is flying at you!" says the entertainer, formerly and forever known as a member of boy band *NSYNC. "One person steers up and down, the other steers left to right. You gotta be in sync! Get it?"

We get it.

And you can sit in the Solo seat, too, starting Thursday, when Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, a 14-acre themed land, opens at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Galaxy's Edge recreates the village "Black Spire Outpost" on the "wild frontier planet of Batuu." Basically, it looks like an outpost on the moon, and it's similar to the Pandora area of Disney's Animal Kingdom in one key way: when you step into the themed land, it feels like you're in another world.

Millennium Falcon thrill ride has already opened to rave reviews at Disneyland in California.

"It's probably the coolest interactive ride I've ever been on," says Fatone, who recently helped Disney preview the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

Fatone performs Nov. 12-14 with a few of his famous friends, including *NSYNC's Chris Kirkpatrick, as part of the fest's concert series.

Thursday's a huge day at Disney, with the opening of Galaxy's Edge and also the start of the Food and Wine Festival, which runs a record 87 days this year, from Friday through Nov. 23.

SZA Reveals She Was Recently In The Studio With Justin Timberlake & BROCKHAMPTON - 8/20/19

genius.com, 8/20/19 --

It's been more than two years since the release of Ctrl, SZA's breakout debut album, and fans are eagerly awaiting her next release. While she doesn't have an exact date yet, she discussed her work on the new project and recent studio sessions with Justin Timberlake and BROCKHAMPTON in an interview with Kerwin Frost.

"So yesterday I was in the studio with Justin Timberlake and that was kind of nuts. We made a really cool song and I couldn't believe it," she said. "We're on the same label I heard, which I didn't know until yesterday. And he was like, 'I wanna work with you and I was like, 'Why?' And he was like, 'Shut up, let's just make stuff.' And we did and it was really great."

The New Jersey singer explained that she felt her energy align with Timberlake's:

"Before I was like, 'What the fuck am I doing in the studio with Justin Timberlake right now? This is crazy.' But when I heard his music and we started singing together and the harmonies and the note choices that we were finding together, it's like, 'Oh, we speak the same language. The same frequency.' I understood where he was going before he could finish a run, and I wanted to be in that tandem."

Lance Bass Is Hopeful He'll Be The Father Of Twins Next Year With Seventh Egg Donor - 8/17/19

ET Canada, 8/16/19 --

Lance Bass is doing everything he can to become a father.

The former *NSYNC singer was on the Heather Dubrow's World podcast and spoke about the difficult process of trying to have children via egg donors with husband Michael Turchin.

"We're getting close" Bass said. "I know we keep saying this every time I come on your show....It's been a process. You know, we went through seven donors, but this seventh one looks like it worked! So, hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be able to announce some nice celebration. They will be here next - I say 'they' because, of course, we're trying to go for twins, but that's, you know, still up in the air. But yeah, so next year, 2020 babies!"

The 40-year-old also spoke about his potential kids' astrological signs, and the fact that he'd rather they not be Geminis.

"If we end up getting pregnant, like, soon, that puts them right on the border of Taurus-Gemini," he said. "So, we had to do it now for them to stay a Taurus."

As for becoming a parent, Bass said, "I've been ready, are you kidding me? It's been delayed so much. Like, I'm just kind of like itching to be a dad. You know, I'm 40 now. So, I mean, it's time. I've been waiting for this."

Joey Fatone of *NSYNC talks 'Common Knowledge,' podcast, Fat Ones - 8/15/19

Digital Journal, 8/14/19 --

Joey Fatone of the Grammy-nominated pop group *NSYNC chatted with Digital Journal about his latest ventures, which include hosting "Common Knowledge" on the Game Show Network, his podcast, his hot dog business Fat Ones, and being on "The Masked Singer."

Last month, on July 12, Fatone hosted "90's Night" at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall in Wantagh, New York. This marked Fatone third time appearing at this Long Island venue, where the group Larger Than Life performed. "It was my third time there. The first two times it was packed, and now it was great to be back there after 4th of July," he said.

"The guys at Larger Than Life are fun. They always put on a good show. I can't believe how many songs they actually do in their set for that long of a time. They are out of their mind," he said with a sweet laugh.

Fatone is the host of Game Show Network's "Common Knowledge" series. "It's a lot of fun. It's a great gig. For me, it's exciting since I am always engaged in the questions. I don't read the questions prior so when I do ask the questions, I really don't know what the answers are as well, so I follow along with them. I am playing along with them," he said. "It's a blast and so much fun."

Lance Bass & Joey Fatone on Summer Pool Parties and a Possible *NSYNC Reunion - 8/7/19

rachaelraymag.com, 8/6/19 --

*NSYNC heartthrobs Lance Bass and Joey Fatone know a thing or two about summer entertaining. About midway through our conversation, Joey admits the summer pool parties he used to throw in his early twenties have drastically changed now that he's a proud dad of two daughters, Briahna and Kloey. "For a while, it was 'single and ready to mingle' and now a bunch of us have kids, so the party changes a bit. It went from Playboy Bunnies to kids," he said with a laugh.

In July, besties and former bandmates Lance and Joey partnered with Heluva Good to show off a two-person pool float with designated areas for snacks and beverages, named the "SS Snacker." Anndd even if your invite to Lance and Joey's next summer bash got lost in the mail, you still have plenty of time to throw the most epic pool party for your crew.

"People are always going to leave a party talking about the food, the music, and the atmosphere," said Joey. "You want to get a good variety of music. For me, I like '80s. Throw in a little bit of '90s, you got a good party going on."

"Summertime is our season," added Lance. "Joey and I are both not that formal. We just want everyone to have a good time. It's an open-door policy at my house. People come over and bring their friends. We open up the pool and have amazing snacks." (Psst, check out Lance and Joey's summer BLT flatbread recipe here.)

As for an official *NSYNC reunion? Turns out we'll just have to wait and see. Lance and Joey were tight lipped about a possible reunion being in the works, but they revealed that they've considered making a comeback as a foursome after their surprise appearance during pop star Ariana Grande's Coachella headlining set. While performing their smash hit, "Tearin' Up My Heart," the quartet demonstrated they were capable of bringing the house down without Justin Timberlake, who launched a massive solo career following the best-selling group's indefinite hiatus in 2002.

Lance Bass Recalls Joining the "Mile High Club" and Coming Out to Britney Spears - 7/23/19

E! Online, 7/23/19 --

When it comes to opening up about his firsts, Lance Bass has no strings attached.

The *NSYNC star proved this to be true while playing a round of "First Thing First" on Monday's episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

During the game, Andy Cohen asked the former boy band member about the first time he joined the "mile high club."

"It was on a BBJ," the 40-year-old singer recalled, clarifying that he did the dirty on a Boeing Business Jet. "Because it has a bed."

Bass also revealed he shared this first-time experience with a woman. When the Bravo host asked the artist, who is gay, if he regularly had sex with women during his time in the band, Bass replied, "I was doing it, and doing it and doing it well. We did what we had to do to survive."

He also recalled coming out to Britney Spears in 2004 after she tied the knot with Jason Alexander in Las Vegas.

"I went up to Vegas to kind of see the craziness that was happening, and she was a little upset once she realized what she had done," he recalled. "Because, you know, it was like a funny thing, and then she started, like, really crying and, like, she was so upset. And so, I took her to her room, and we're sitting on the bed and she wouldn't stop crying. So, I was like, 'I'm gay.' And it made her stop crying. She chuckled."

Lance Bass Apologizes After Claiming Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney Are Not Legally Married - 7/18/19

E! Online, 7/17/19 --

Lance Bass is trying to clean up the tea he accidentally spilled. During a recent interview on the Reality Bytes podcast with Rob Evors, the *NSYNC member decided to share a few details about Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's summer wedding. While praising the special event, Lance casually dropped a bombshell about another Vanderpump Rules couple.

"The big talk around the wedding was that there was this rumor that maybe Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz could possibly not be married because they might have done their paperwork wrong," he shared with guests Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Brett Gursky.

Fast-forward to today where Lance appeared on ABC's Strahan & Sara to explain himself.

"Lot of times, people forget that I've been in entertainment news for the last 15 years. So, you know, when there's pieces of nuggets out there, I'm going to talk about it," he explained on the show. "I didn't know it was a secret."

Lance continued, "I don't know reality television like that. I was able to talk about the wedding. I was discussing the wedding. Just a little nugget. I apologize. I'm sorry. You'll just have to watch. You'll have to see the show to see what really happens."

For those not up to date on all the SUR connections, Lance was invited to Jax and Brittany's wedding because he's a longtime friend of the groom. He also stepped in to officiate after his best friend Lisa Vanderpump wasn't sure if she could attend. Ultimately, everyone was able to be part of the special day that took place in a Kentucky castle.

"I mean, it was gorgeous, it was so amazing," Lance shared when recalling the wedding. "Beautiful."

Strahan & Sara airs weekdays at 1 p.m. ET and 12 CT/PT on ABC.

Tony Romo repeats at American Century Championship - 7/15/19

Nevada Appeal, 7/15/19 --

Tony Romo entered the final round of the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament with a commanding nine-point lead.

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and defending tournament champion didn't let up as Sunday's final round got underway at Edgewood Tahoe, shooting 3-under-par through the first four holes to push his lead into double digits before coasting into the clubhouse with one of the largest margins of victory in tournament history.

One of the more star-studded groupings of the day included receiver Larry Fitzgerald, quarterback Aaron Rodgers and singer Justin Timberlake.

"It gets your adrenaline going," said Timberlake on playing in the tournament. "It feels like a major out here and it also feels like a rock concert. It is hard to describe. The energy has been great and everybody has been great."

Timberlake finished in 38th place with 16 points.

"They have been going right and left. I have been playing a lot of Army golf today, just right, left, right, left," said Timberlake on his round. "The wind has been the biggest factor today for sure. It kind of whips the greens up and they get a little bumpy as well so putting is really challenging as well, too."

Justin Timberlake needs CPR after making birdie putt at ACC - 7/14/19

Tahoe Daily Tribune, 7/13/19 --

Justin Timberlake needs CPR after making his first birdie of the second-round at the American Century Championship.

Justin Timberlake at Lake Tahoe's celebrity golf tournament; we followed him - 7/13/19

Tahoe Daily Tribune, 7/13/19 --

"Let's see that 'Sexy Back' swing!" Kacey Adams, of Roseville, shouts to Justin Timberlake as he prepares to tee off. A wave of laughter ripples through the gallery swarmed around hole No. 6 at Edgewood Tahoe.

Timberlake, wearing a trim-fitting polo, khakis and Air Jordans, doesn't react - not a smile, not a smirk, not a chuckle.

JT - arguably the biggest star playing in the American Century Championship golf tournament - is laser-focused. Plus, it's no doubt the 8,000th time the 10-time Grammy Award winner has heard "SexyBack," his 2006 lead single off of "FutureSex/LoveSounds," punned on a golf course.

Narrow-eyed and tight-jawed, the singer/dancer/actor triple-threat is acting like a professional golfer on this sun-splashed Friday at Edgewood Tahoe for round one of the American Century Championship.

Indeed, Timberlake is not your average celebrity golfer. He's not just hitting the links for giggles. Playing in his fourth ACC, Timberlake's best finish from three previous appearances is 21st place (out of nearly 100 participants) in 2016. Further exemplifying how serious JT is about golf, the chart-topping artist is wearing a ball cap with the words "Big Creek Golf Club" - a golf club in Arkansas, per a Google search - stitched on it.

As he tunes out the song title puns, Timberlake takes practice swings. A few feet away, Tony Romo, next to the tee after JT, is taking practice swings of his own. Their swings are practically mirroring each other.

Review: Joey Fatone hosts at Mulcahy's, Larger Than Life sings classics - 7/13/19

Digital Journal, 7/13/19 --

On July 12, the boy band Larger Than Life performed at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall, with special guest host Joey Fatone of *NSYNC, who is also a television host. DJ Mike Savage provided the musical entertainment for the night.

In his opening speech, Fatone remarked, "What's up Mulcahy's? How are you all doing? This is my third time here. Thank you all for being here. I really appreciate it. We will have a lot of fun here and we will have a great time."

"Who loves the '90s?" Fatone asked, and the crowd went wild. "I feel freaking old. Hopefully, tonight will refresh my memory about the '90s. We have a group of guys... I love watching them, they are very energetic and a lot of fun," he said, praising Larger Than Life. "Every time I see them they keep evolving," he added.

Fatone himself joined Larger Than Life on stage for such songs as a cover of the Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way" and his very own *NSYNC smash single "Bye Bye Bye."

Fatone was well-received by the Mulcahy's audience. Bernadette Pesco noted that she is drawn to Joey Fatone's personality due to his sense of humor. "Joey is very funny," said Jenn Pesco, fan, and attendee. "I am very excited that Joey was here at Mulcahy's," added Gina Miller.

Tom Schwartz & Katie Maloney: The Truth About Their Marriage After Lance Bass Claims They Never Legally Wed - 7/13/19

HollywoodLife.com, 7/12/19 --

Lance Bass dropped one hell of a bombshell on July 12 when he made the declaration that Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Schwartz, 36, and Katie Maloney, 32, are not legall husband and wife. Which is quite a shocker since their gorgeous wooded Northern California wedding was shown on season five's two-part episodes. The entire cast was present for the Aug. of 2016 nuptials and Lisa Vanderpump officiated the ceremony. The rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception were all highly documented on social media by the guests, so it's news to Tom and Katie why Lance would make such a claim,

"Tom and Katie are confused as to why Lance would say this. Tom is very by the books with everything he does. He is very on it about everything. He and Katie consider themselves happily married and are surprised by this. If he's not legally married, he'd be as surprised as everyone else as they made sure their paperwork was all there," a source close to the couple tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

Lance, 40, made the wild claim on Reality Bytes with Rob Evers while discussing the recent nuptials of another Vanderpump Rules couple, Jax Taylor, 40 and Brittany Cartwright, 30. The *NSYNC member officiated their Kentucky nuptials on June 29. Lance then blurted out "We just found out Tom and Katie are not married. They did not send in their materials right. So, they are not married." The host and fellow guest, actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler were aghast at news that nearly three years after their romantic wedding, Tom and Katie may not be legally husband and wife. Lance hinted that it might be addressed on the eighth season of Vanderpump Rules, which is currently in production by noting that "I think that might be a little storyline."

Lance Bass on When to Expect *NSYNC Reunion and the 'Crazy Offers' They've Received - 7/10/19

PopCrush, 7/10/19 --

Seventeen years since after the group announced a hiatus that would never end, *NSYNC fans are hungrier than ever for the boy band to make a comeback, with demand reaching new heights after four of the five members reunited to perform alongside Ariana Grande at Coachella in May.

However, the thirst for a reunion reached a whole new level when the band's peers, and former rivals, joined the movement to bring *NSYNC back - first with Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough sharing how he encouraged the group to continue as a foursome as BSB once did, then as New Kids on the Block's Donnie Wahlberg pulled Lance Bass on stage in Hollywood and urged him to reform the group even if it's without Justin Timberlake.

"It really does take things to another level," Bass tells PopCrush about how the peer encouragement has influenced the group's thoughts on reuniting. "It's so sweet to hear those bands really supporting us and encouraging us to do it again. It's hilarious that we were once rivals and now we're all like, 'Kumbaya' and wanting to tour together!"

"It's great and one day hopefully we will be able to figure something out," he continues. "It's something we're not talking about right now, but you never know. Since Coachella there's been some really crazy offers come our way and it's the first time people have given us actual offers, so we would be dumb not to talk about it."

Bass notes that he and his bandmates (JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick) are "slow," so while there's a very real possibility of the four planning future projects, it's unlikely to be within the next year. "You know how slow we are, so I don't see this happening anytime soon," he says. "But hopefully soon we'll be able to discuss it and see what happens."

In the meantime, Bass has plenty on his plate, having opened his own bar, Rocco's WeHo, and recently retured from Florida, where he was a judge in Stoli's Key West Cocktail Classic, an event to celebrate LGBTQ+ bars and bartenders. Bass attended with his husband of four years, Michael Turchin, and had a blast at the event, where New Yorker Samuel Benedict was crowned champion thanks to his Key Key cocktail creation.

Tahoe golf: Steph Curry in feature group with Justin Timberlake, Tony Romo - 7/10/19

The Mercury News, 7/10/19 --

Steph Curry is reuniting with flashy playing partners, albeit on the golf course with Justin Timberlake and Tony Romo.

That threesome tees off Friday at 9:42 a.m. in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament at Edgewood Tahoe.

Curry, fresh off a fifth straight NBA Finals appearance as the Golden State Warriors superstar, is no stranger to the Tahoe tournament or his opening-round partners. Romo, the former quarterback-turned-CBS analyst, is the reigning champion, while the multi-talented Timberlake is the biggest draw of a tournament that drew a record attendance of nearly 60,000 last year.

In 2017, the Curry-Romo-Timberlake trio combined for memorable hijinks, including a pass play on the 17th hole.

Lil Wayne & Justin Timberlake Collaboration 'Light Up' Surfaces Online - 7/3/19

HipHop-N-More, 7/3/19 --

A new collaboration between Lil Wayne and Justin Timberlake called 'Light Up' has surfaced online today.

A snippet of the track first came out in 2017 and was apparently recorded for Weezy's last album Tha Carter V. Of course it never made the cut on it but with the full song surfacing today, fans are wondering if it has been saved for his next project, Funeral which is supposedly coming soon.

"I did this one for the stone heads, And the m*therf*ckers with the strong weed, Oh sh*t, my weed man phone dead, See that's why I need to start growing my own weed, I'm like, "Oh my goodness, I don't smoke bullsh*t," Wayne raps on the marijuana friendly track. According to fans online, it's produced by Timbaland and is out there right now on the wild wide web.

Last month, a collaboration with The Game titled 'A.I. With The Braids' ended up online. Before that, it was the 'Mind Right' freestyle.

Who Has the Highest-Grossing Tour of the Year So Far? - 7/3/19

radio.com, 7/3/19 --

Now that we've hit the halfway mark, Pollstar has put together their list of the highest-grossing concerts of the year through the first half of 2019. To be precise, these are the biggest tours around the world from November 22, 2018 to May 22, 2019.

There are some usual suspects on the list, like Billy Joel and Kenny Chesney, along with some surprising returns this year from Phil Collins and Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band. At the top though, sits three legendary live artists making nearly 240 million dollars in the past six months.

On the worldwide chart, Justin Timberlake comes in at number three. Despite a few stops and starts while the "Rock Your Body" singer dealt with bruised vocal chords, Timberlake's Man of the Woods Tour landed an impressive 75.5 million dollars across 35 cities. With only a few thousand more tickets sold and one additional show, P!nk lands at number two at the midway point. The high-flying Beautiful Trauma Tour scored 81.8 million dollars around the globe.

Lance Bass Says Bye, Bye, Bye to Boring Cocktails - 7/1/19

themanual.com, 6/29/19 --

Former member of pop legends *NSYNC (and general man about town thanks to his appearances on television and in film) Lance Bass knows how to have some no strings attached fun with cocktails.

"For the last year I've really been on a cocktail adventure," he said. Part of that adventure - outside of drinking a wide variety of cocktails - was starting a cocktail mixers line with partner Jax Taylor (of Vanderpump Rules) called Just Add X (Jax, for short).

"We created a mixers line for really bad bartenders. We have a lot of great mixologist friends that we've worked with for a while to come up with the final flavors, which will launch at the end of this summer," he said.

It makes sense, then, that when Bass was approached by Stoli to guest judge the Key West Cocktail Classic, the largest LGBTQ bartending competition in the country, he didn't drive himself crazy thinking of an answer.

"Stoli came to me to be their special guest judge at the Key West Cocktail Classic Finale and I was all about it," he said. "I've been a fan of Stoli my whole life because I love my vodka and they've also been amazing with, and very supportive of, my community, the LGBT community."

Taking place in mid-June as part of Pride month, Bass said he was looking for something new in a cocktail.

"I want to be surprised," he said at the time. "Like I said I've been tasting fun ingredients all year long. I've been surprised by what works and what doesn't and I hope someone surprises me with something I haven't tried before."

The competition winner, Sam Benedict, must've done just that with his drink, as he won $10,000 for Gays Against Guns and $5,000 for Habitat for Humanity Key West while second place winners Joshua Simmons and Bobby Vargas won $5,000 for Dallas's Resource Center and San Diego's Human Dignity Foundation, respectively. They also won $5,000 for MCC Key West and Sister Season Fund.

This one guest judge appearance and the mixers line, though, aren't the only ways Bass has been or will continue to be involved in the drinks community, as he just opened Rocco's WeHo (in West Hollywood), which sits practically at the entrance to the city's Pride festivities.

Why Lance Bass Opened a Gay Sports Tavern - 6/28/19

Advocate, 6/27/19 --

Last month, Lance Bass sat in one of the booths inside the newly opened Rocco's WeHo - the latest iteration in a small chain of establishments that mixes a traditional sports bar with an Italian-American eatery.

However, this particular Rocco's was in the process of transforming into an additional kind of space: a dance club. A nearby technician was installing fog machines for Friday and Saturday nights, when the indoor tables would be cleared and the dance floor, DJs, and go-go boys would materialize.

"I like the confetti and I like smoke. I love that kind of stuff," confessed the gay former pop star, one of the owners of Rocco's WeHo, as white clouds plumed around him. He said his establishment was changing with what patrons were demanding.

"We always knew that once we opened the doors, we were just going to have to see what people wanted and just kind of pivot with them," he said. "And so far, we have."

"We did not realize people wanted to dance, which I'm happy about because people don't dance that much anymore," Bass added. "I used to go out in the '90s and 2000s - you went out and you danced. Here, the dance floor, even during the day, just started going off."

Indeed, at L.A. Pride, and the subsequent Sunday Fundays in West Hollywood, crowds lined up around the block to dance at Rocco's WeHo. The playlist makes it stand out on the Santa Monica Boulevard strip, where gay bars tend to favor songs with strong beats over too many words. Visitors on a recent Friday night heard a sampling of hip-hop, R&B, and throwbacks to music from the '80s,'90s, and '00s, including one hit from *NSYNC, the boy band in which Bass rose to international fame.

His bandmates have been supportive of his new enterprise. JC Chasez attended the restaurateur's 40th birthday party, which was held at Rocco's in May, alongside other famous friends like Allison Janney and Lisa Vanderpump, the reality star who owns several restaurants just one block away. Fans of football, the other *NSYNC members may become regulars on Sundays for viewing parties, Bass suggested.

'Take it from me': Proud LGBTQ celebs share their most empowering advice - 6/27/19

Good Morning America, 6/25/19 --

Happy Pride Month!

While "Good Morning America" celebrates with compelling stories of the LGBTQ community, from Stonewall to today, we thought we would ask some of our out-and-proud LGBTQ guests from our Take It From Me series to share some advice about coming out, finding love and learning to love yourself.

Lance Bass: 'Don't worry what others think of you'

"I think growing up in the South as a gay person, it is hard. When I was 5 years old, I knew I was gay. But I remember I knew I'd have to hide it for the rest of my life, because I knew it was wrong and that's what people kept telling me. So sometimes when I see, you know, pictures of me at that age, I feel empathy for that little kid because that was on his mind a lot growing up," Bass said.

"Don't worry about what people think of you, there's nothing wrong with you at all. You can be and love whoever you want."

Lance Bass Reveals The One *NSYNC Member He'd Travel With Now - 6/24/19

Forbes, 6/24/19 --

Lance Bass is no stranger to travel. He spent the early part of his life touring the world as a member of *NSYNC and gets to hit the road for work and pleasure now. But, this month, his travel schedule was all about celebrating WorldPride.

While he traveled to two Prides already and has another one on the calendar, he kicked off the festivities as the special guest judge for Stoli Vodka's Key West Cocktail Classic. "I'm totally excited about it because I've always wanted to go to Key West Pride," he told me. "And I'm excited about this because I love a good cocktail competition. I love me a good cocktail, and I've been a fan of Stoli for a very long time for how they give back to the community."

For the past six years, Stoli has celebrated gay bars as the original safe space for the community by bringing LGBTQ and allied bartenders from around the country to compete during Key West Pride for the opportunity to win money for the charity of their choice. They're also releasing a limited-edition "Spirit of Stonewall" bottle, which honors the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising.

In honor of this, Bass chatted with me about his lineup of Pride parties, his most memorable travel experiences, and the one member of *NSYNC he'd like to travel with.

Q: Ok, so if you had to pick one member of *NSYNC to travel with now, just the two of you, who would it be?

A: That's a good one. I've never been asked that question. I guess each guy would be different for different reasons depending on what kind of traveling and vacation I wanted. If I wanted to go see different countries and cities and really get to know the culture behind it and see beautiful places and taste all the food, I would definitely choose JC. If I wanted to let my hair down and have a good time and see some of the fun places around the world, that would be Joey Fatone.

Lance Bass of *NSYNC Talks Key West Cocktail Classic and Opening His Own Bar - 6/22/19

Chilled Magazine, 6/21/19 --

Spending his teenage years struggling with his sexuality while rising to fame with boy band *NSYNC, Lance Bass eventually discovered LGBT bars where he could truly embrace and celebrate his identity.

One of those bars was Florida's Pulse nightclub, where 49 victims were killed during an innocent night out in June 2016. Talking to Chilled on the third anniversary of the shooting, Bass is now continuing to champion such hot spots and the bartenders who work at them, having recently returned to Florida as a judge for the Stoli Key West Cocktail Classic competition. The annual contest recognizes LGBTQ bartenders and bars as part of Pride Month celebrations.

"It was just so fun seeing all these bartenders from around the country come together for such a great cause, representing different charities from their hometowns," Bass says.

"This competition represents so many things. Gay bars are one of the first places that the community felt safe and like they could be themselves. They've always been this safe haven for everyone, so we wanted to really celebrate that."

New Yorker Samuel Benedict from Club Cumming was crowned the champion, with his Key Key cocktail winning him $10,000 for his hometown charity, Gays Against Guns, and $5,000 for Habitat for Humanity of Key West and Lower Florida Keys. Inspired by key lime pie, the drink was made with Stoli Vanil, key lime juice, pineapple juice, simple syrup, and egg white.

Bass enjoys Stoli Cucumber and Stoli Lime, which he uses regularly in his cocktail of choice, a Moscow Mule. But it's not just his at-home cocktail-making experience that made the musician an ideal judge for the Stoli Key West Classic-he also recently opened his own bar, Rocco's WeHo, in the LGBTQ hot spot of West Hollywood, California. Rocco's is a popular sports bar chain throughout Los Angeles, but the company is now focusing its expansion on LGBTQ versions of the bar, which is where Bass came in.

"I love to entertain, I love to have a drink, and I love to watch sports, so I wanted to build a space where all of that could happen," says Bass, whose artist husband, Michael Turchin, has pieces on display throughout the bar. "When we opened, my partners thought, 'Ok, this is just going to be a gay sports bar. People are going to come and watch baseball or football, have a beer, get some pizza and some wings, and that's what this place will be.' But I knew going in that it was going to be so much more than that, because that's just too boring for our community-it has to be a sports bar on steroids!

"So we now have a stage where we have live entertainment and drag shows and feature LGBT artists, and it's just a really fun, inclusive place. It's the only place I've been to recently where you look around and you have guys who have just finished their football game mingling with drag queens and lesbian, gay, and transgender people. Everyone is just having so much fun together, and it's a beautiful thing to see."

A Tale of Two Coming Outs with Lance Bass and Michael Turchin - 6/22/19

Lance Bass Says *NSYNC Is 'Getting A Lot of Offers' for a Reunion: 'We Have to Take It Seriously' - 6/17/19

Life & Style, 6/17/19 --

After *NSYNC took the stage with Ariana Grande during Coachella in April, Lance Bass exclusively revealed to Life & Style that everyone is dying for the band to reunite again. The singer dished that the former members, sans Justin Timberlake, will be taking a careful look at the offers coming through. They don't have anything set in stone but he mentioned that the demand is high.

"The guys and I haven't really discussed it yet but it's something that we'll need to discuss just because the hype from Coachella was so crazy," the 40-year-old explained while promoting his partnership with Stoli Vodka. Lance served as a guest judge at Stoli's Key West Cocktail Classic in Key West earlier this month, where LGBTQ and allied bartenders competed to win money for their favorite local charities. "We're getting a lot of offers ... All these offers that come across our desk we have to take seriously and discuss it. So, who knows what's going to happen."

Lance just opened Rocco's Tavern in West Hollywood and admitted that his plate is chock-full (pun intended). "We're all doing different things right now. I have my hands in so much. I definitely wouldn't be able to put in the time like I did the first round," he noted.

While a full-on reunion tour may be too much, Lance mentioned that the crew might be open to reappearing on a much smaller scale. "You know, maybe we'll find something fun to do. Who knows what it's going to look like but we definitely need to discuss."

As far as collaborations, the Out of Sync author admitted that they had a blast with the "thank u, next" songstress. "I love the way a female sounds with our harmonies. Doing that with Ariana was so special because you really got to hear what it sounded like with a different, high voice in there and it was great." He also mentioned that Taylor Swift would be another dream match-up and we have to agree.

We'll keep our fingers crossed for something special from *NSYNC!

Happy Father's Day - 6/16/19

Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliott, Halsey, John Prine, More Light up Songwriters Hall of Fame Ceremony - 6/15/19

Variety, 6/14/19 --

Justin Timberlake stops in mid-sentence. "Aw man, y'all didn't tell me Bette Midler was gonna be right here in the front! Now I'm nervous - first y'all make me follow Patti LaBelle, now this?" Yep. Justin Timberlake - arguably the most talented song and dance man working today, but honored tonight for his songwriting - was nervous.

So it goes at the annual Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony, which celebrated its 50th anniversary Thursday night with a diverse blockbuster roster of inductees, honorees and luminaries paying tribute. In addition to Timberlake, the evening's honorees were Missy Elliott, Yusuf (a.k.a. Cat Stevens), Halsey, John Prine, Tom T. Hall, Atlanta hip-hop maven Dallas Austin, Carole Bayer Sager, legendary publisher Martin Bandier and Eagles collaborator Jack Tempchin; performers and presenters included Jack Antonoff, Sara Bareilles, Benny Blanco, Clive Davis, Jermaine Dupri, Jason Isbell, Queen Latifah, Lizzo, Dave Matthews, Bonnie Raitt, Timbaland, and Nile Rodgers. (Midler was there as a guest of Sager.) Pressure? What pressure?

As the show entered its fifth hour, Justin Timberlake was presented with the Contemporary Icon Award by longtime collaborator Timbaland, who spoke of having two of his best friends in the house (JT and Elliott), and listed some of Timberlake's songwriting achievements: "'Sexyback,' 'Cry Me a River,' even 'Dick in a Box' from 'Saturday Night Live,'" he laughed. "It's a reminder not to take it all too serious - it's just life."

After a big bro-hug and silly dance at the podium with Timbaland, JT launched into a long and pause-filled acceptance speech that ranged from recalling his mother's love for classic rock and driving around Memphis as a kid blasting the songs from their car, to learning how to sing in church: "Church is the best place to learn, because even if you go up there and sh- the bed, everyone says 'Amen!'" He then spoke of his amazement upon first hearing Missy Elliott's "Supa Dupa Fly" album - singing and beatboxing a characteristic Elliott sound - and saying "This is something I've never heard!"

He then closed out the night with a long medley that started off with an atmospheric version of "New York, New York" and segued into several of his hits including, "My Love," "Cry Me A River," "Say Something," "What Goes Around," "Mirrors," and "Can't Stop The Feeling," before being joined by Timbaland for the closer, "SexyBack."

Much as we hate to save the ace house band's shout-out for the end of the article - led by Rob Mathes, they killed it on every song - it is a testament to their talents that after nearly five hours onstage, they nailed a rhythmically challenging and ultra-precise song like "SexyBack" with ease.

And with that, near the stroke of midnight, the Songwriters Hall of Fame's half-century show came to a close.

Justin Timberlake honored by Songwriters Hall of Fame - 6/13/19

pix11.com, 6/13/19 --

The 2019 Songwriters Hall of Fame honored the industry's most talented and prolific artists this evening.

This year's inductees are: Dallas Austin, Missy Elliott, Tom T. Hall, John Prine, Jack Tempchin and Yusuf Islam (commonly known by his stage name Cat Stevens).

Justin Timberlake will receive the Contemporary Icon Award. The prestigious Johnny Mercer Award will be presented to Carole Bayer Sager. Halsey will be honored with the Hal David Starlight Award and iconic music publisher Martin Bandier with the Visionary Leadership Award.

Timberlake received the biggest cheers when he arrived on the red carpet at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.

From his boy band days with *NSYNC to a successful solo career, "JT" has 10 Grammy Awards under his belt. Timberlake has sold more than 32 million albums worldwide.

The Songwriters Hall of Fame honors what many consider the heart of music.

"When you take away the song, the music business goes away, it's the foundation of our entire business," said Nile Rodgers, Chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame. "To me, this is the most important night of the year because songs are the essence of our business."

The Songwriter Hall of Fame is also known for its mission in supporting and developing new writing talent through education and scholarships. "It's grown into an organization that is affiliated with several major universities for education programs to help writers, it's very prestigious to be a part of this," said Martin Bandier, CEO/Chairman of Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Bandier has been with the organization since its early days, when it had several hundred members. It's now grown to over 1500 people.

Lance Bass: Coming Out in 2006 Was a Total 'Rebirth' - 6/12/19

AskMen, 6/12/19 --

Thirteen years ago, not long after *NSYNC went on its indefinite hiatus, Lance Bass decided it was time to be himself. Speaking publicly, the former boy band member stepped out of the closet, revealing himself to be a gay man.

"Once I was able to come out in 2006, I feel like it was a rebirth," he told AskMen. "There was a lot I needed to learn about the community, too. I had never really been a part of the community until then, and it's been amazing. Now, it's like I'm a completely different person. I'm able to be myself."

Despite spending ample time in the limelight, enjoying all that comes with success in the entertainment industry, Bass admits that he wishes he'd come out earlier in his career, if only to help other young gay men "suffering in silence."

"Life is too short to worry about what other people think of you," he said. "We all have permission to be who we are and we owe nobody an apology for it."

Looking back, the music industry of late 90s-early 2000s certainly didn't have the LGBTQ+ representation you see today. Artists like Sam Smith, Kim Petras, and Troye Sivan weren't around, spitting out hit track after track. That left those like Bass hesitant to come forward with their sexuality in fear that it could be detrimental to their work.

And while he believes the music industry is still homophobic in many ways, Bass does highlight how far it has come since his days behind a mic.

"Just in the past decade we've seen the rise of so many great mainstream artists who identify as LGBTQ+," he said. "I think this is largely due to the millennial generation. They've proven to be the most accepting generation of the LGBTQ+ community, and the music industry is ultimately dictated by our nation's youth. Nonetheless. I still do think we have a ways to go until the music industry truly embraces LGBTQ+ artists equally, but at least we're heading in the right direction."

Lance Bass Talks *NSYNC Reunion Rumors: "We'll Sit Down This Summer to Figure It Out" - 6/10/19

Variety, 6/10/19 --

Is the boy band finally getting back together?

Rumors of an *NSYNC reunion began swirling after the group made a surprise appearance during Ariana Grande's Coachella set back in April, and now, group member Lance Bass says the band is looking at "many many" offers that have come their way since.

*NSYNC - minus Justin Timberlake - joined Grande on stage during weekend one of Coachella to perform her song, "break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored," which samples "It Makes Me Ill," an album cut from the group's hit 2000s album, "No Strings Attached." The artists then segued into a performance of *NSYNC's "Tearin' Up My Heart," with Grande trading lead vocals - and choreography - with J.C. Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Bass.

Users lit up social media immediately following the performance, with many calling for an *NSYNC reunion and others saying they would pay to see the group perform again, even if Timberlake declined the invitation. Now it seems the buzz has reached the boys in the band.

"[Coachella] was incredible and it was a big moment for *NSYNC," Bass told Variety, during Pride weekend in Key West. Bass partnered with Stoli Vodka as the special guest judge for their "Key West Cocktail Classic," which brings together LGBTQ and allied bartenders from around the country to compete during Key West Pride to win money for charity. Stoli is also launching a limited-edition "Spirit of Stonewall" bottle, which honors the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. "We hadn't performed that song ("Tearin' Up My Heart") with that choreography since 1998, so when Ariana told us she wanted to do that song, we were like, 'We have to re-learn that thing.' It's amazing how the moves and harmonies came back so quickly."

While Bass says the Coachella reunion was, "definitely a one-off," he admits, "there are many, many things coming across our desk because of Coachella that we would be stupid not to discuss and look at."

"People are really into nostalgia right now," he adds. "They're really digging the 90s and early 2000s again, and I think fans just want to feel that innocence and excitement again."

Bass has been riding that wave of nostalgia with occasional appearances this summer on the "POP 2000 Tour" (see tickets and dates here) joining acts like O-Town, Aaron Carter, Tyler Hilton and Ryan Cabrera on a string of dates across the country. While Bass serves as the host for the show, he has hit the stage with O-Town on a couple of dates to perform *NSYNC's "Bye, Bye, Bye" (Says Hilton: "It's always the part of the show that gets fans the most excited because they love *NSYNC").

Bass says he's been excited to see the reaction from fans, both from Coachella and from the POP 2000 Tour, and he says the group has been eager to reconvene, if only for a conversation. "We haven't talked about what the next step is," he says, "but I know we'll sit down during the summer together and figure it out."

miami.cbslocal.com, 6/9/19 --

A New York City man created a cocktail inspired by Key West's signature Key lime pie to win a North American bartending contest.

Sam Benedict won the Stoli Key West Cocktail Classic late Saturday with a vodka concoction he dubbed the "Key Key." Flavored with juice from tiny yellow Key limes, it also contained other ingredients including coconut milk, pineapple juice, simple syrup, egg whites and bitters.

A panel of judges including former *NSYNC singer Lance Bass evaluated contestants' cocktails on their appearance, aroma, balance and taste, as well as the bartender's showmanship.

"I'm excited to crown a winner tonight," Bass said. "We brought incredible bartenders from all around the country and it's led to this moment today."

As well as Bass, judges included former "American Idol" finalist LaToya London, comedy writer/actor Bruce Vilanch and Key West drag queen Sushi.

Benedict's prizes include a $15,000 charitable donation to be made in his name.

Justin Timberlake Reflects on His Iconic Hits Ahead of Songwriters Hall of Fame - 6/6/19

Billboard, 6/6/19 --

Justin Timberlake will receive the Contemporary Icon Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame's 50th anniversary gala on June 13 in New York City. We asked him to share the stories behind three of his hits. Here's what he had to say.

"Cry Me a River" (Justified, 2002)

"Cry Me a River" was a career-defining moment. It led to me being taken seriously as a songwriter by the industry and fans, and helped established my voice as a solo artist. The sound Timbaland and I explored in that song is one that laid the groundwork for my style of music moving forward.

"Mirrors" (The 20/20 Experience, 2013)

"Mirrors" was written for my wife years before it was ever released or we were married. However, it's when I perform it live that I see and feel how those lyrics have impacted others. Hearing everyone sing that last chorus with me will always be special. It means a lot to me that people have really connected with that song.

Joey Fatone Hints at Possible *NSYNC Reunion Tour Without Justin Timberlake: 'Never Say Never' - 6/6/19

Us Weekly, 6/5/19 --

While Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys fans have been able to see their favorite groups reunite for major tours, *NSYNC devotees have not been so lucky. However, former member Joey Fatone can promise that a comeback tour of some caliber isn't out of the realm of possibility - even without Justin Timberlake.

"You know, we haven't had a conversation about anything yet, at the moment. So, never say never, or yes or no," the "Bye Bye Bye" crooner, 42, told Us Weekly exclusively at the Critics' Choice Real TV Awards on Sunday, June 2. "I know a lot of people since we did the Coachella thing [with Ariana Grande in April], people are like, 'What are we doing?' So it's one of those things to find out, do we want to do something or do we not? So we haven't had that conversation yet. Hopefully soon, at some point."

While it's uncertain whether Timberlake would be interested in touring alongside his former bandmates, Fatone revealed to Us on Sunday that this would not necessarily prevent them from performing without him.

"We have to have the conversation, even without Justin. The whole thing about it is it's really awkward. It's not awkward, but it's weird," the Fat One's owner noted to Us. "People will be like, 'If Justin doesn't do it, the group's not gonna do it.' That wasn't even the case. That's not even the conversation. Everyone's heads are in different times and different places in our lives."

Fatone also revealed that the group does remain in contact and they "do have a group chat."

Lance Bass And The Plans To Take His West Hollywood Sports Bar Worldwide - 6/6/19

Forbes, 6/6/19 --

You might not immediately associate Lance Bass with the restaurant industry, but he's invested in several projects over the years - his latest is Rocco's WeHo.

"As Rocco's, we've been around for about 20 years in Los Angeles, but I think our relationship grew through our Studio City location where Lance used to come by with a bunch of friends," co-owner Alex Manos told me as we gathered at the newly opened venue in the heart of LA's gay district and city within a city, West Hollywood.

"Because believe it or not," Bass, perhaps best known for being one-fifth of *NSYNC, jumped in, "A lot of gay people love sports!"

Manos added: "When we move into different communities, we always look for local community members who might want to get involved. We sat in the office one day, and Lance's name came up so we thought it wouldn't hurt to ask so reached out and the next thing we know he wants to be a partner."

While the bar, in the prime spot on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and San Vicente Boulevard by the iconic rainbow crosswalk, welcomes anyone, something Bass wanted to do was offer something different for West Hollywood's thriving LGBTQ+ sporting community.

Joey Fatone Confirms He Is 'Going Through a Divorce' From Estranged Wife Kelly Baldwin - 6/6/19

Us Weekly, 6/6/19 --

Kiss the relationship good-bye bye bye. Joey Fatone and his wife of nearly 15 years, Kelly Baldwin, have been quietly separated for some time, the former 'NSync member revealed to Us Weekly exclusively.

"I was, at one point, married, and now I am separated, going through a divorce," Fatone, 42, told Us at the Critics' Choice Real TV Awards in Beverly Hills on Sunday, June 2.

The singer filed for divorce in Orange County, Florida, on May 13.

The former Dancing With the Stars contestant tied the knot with Baldwin, a screenwriter, in September 2004 after dating on and off for 10 years. The pair were at the forefront of divorce rumors in August 2013, but the musician brushed them off at the time.

"We're still married ... kids are great," he said. "I'm deeply upset about [the rumors]. We're fine."

In the midst of his divorce, Fatone has been dating Izabel Araujo since October 2014. The couple attended Sunday's Critics' Choice Real TV Awards together.

Lance Bass part of Google's 'Living Monument' to the Stonewall Riots - 6/4/19

Time, 6/4/19 --

To celebrate 50 years of LGBTQ Pride, Google is debuting a "living monument" to the Stonewall Riots.

In conjunction with the The Center, a New York City LGBT community center, and the National Park Service, Google has announced the project, "Stonewall Forever," ahead of the fiftieth anniversary of Stonewall on June 28th, which marked a turning point for LGBTQ rights. "Stonewall Forever" launches alongside Tuesday's Google Doodle, illustrated by Nate Swinehart, which features animated slides that take viewers through five decades of the LGBTQ rights movement.

The Stonewall Riots, which occurred in 1969, are generally regarded as the start of the modern gay rights movement. Early in the morning on June 28th, police raided the Stonewall Inn, a popular gay bar in New York's Greenwich Village neighborhood. Raids on gay bars were not uncommon in the 1960s, when gay sex was still criminalized across the country and legal regulations prohibited clothing that was not in line with gender norms. However, the reaction to the raid that night was abnormally rebellious and became the catalyst for national protests. Pride celebrations occur in June as a way to commemorate Stonewall and the activism that followed.

"Creating Stonewall Forever with support from Google presented the rare opportunity to broaden the story of the Stonewall Riots and provide a richer, more diverse narrative about one of the most influential events in the fight for LGBTQ equality," Glennda Testone, executive director of The Center, said in a statement.

The monument is a digital archive of material accessible through desktops, mobile devices and an augmented reality app. Upon accessing "Stonewall Forever," users find themselves in Christopher Street Park, across the street from the Stonewall Inn. As audio of the famous gay liberation chant "we're here, we're queer, get used to it!" plays in the background, what appears to be an explosion of rainbow crystals is visible in the middle of the park. Each crystal shows footage or documents relating to LGBTQ history and activism, and takes users through the history of the movement beginning with the pre-Stonewall activism of the mid-twentieth century and continuing until the present.

Visitors to the monument will also be able to add their experiences through images and text by uploading information to the website. (The submissions will be moderated for hate speech.) Among those who have already contributed are television writer and producer Lena Waithe, actress Lily Tomlin, and singer Lance Bass.

Justin Timberlake, Halsey, Missy Elliott & More Share Stories Behind Their Biggest Hits - 6/4/19

Billboard, 6/4/19 --

Nearly 50 years ago, Billboard toasted the Songwriters Hall of Fame's first dinner and induction ceremony, held March 8, 1971, at the New York Hilton, in a series of four black-and-white photographs that set the event's tone for years to come: Johnny Mercer proudly held his trophy aloft; Eubie Blake entertained at the piano; Kris Kristofferson took the stage as a presenter; and Frank Sinatra gave an award to Richard Rodgers.

The SHOF was in fact founded two years earlier, in 1969, the vision of Mercer and music publishers Abe Olman and Howie Richmond, who created an organization devoted to the craft of songwriting that continues to shape the global music business. "'It all begins with a song' is not just a cliché," says SHOF president/CEO Linda Moran. "Songwriting is the heart and soul of the creative process."

On June 13, the organization will celebrate its 50th anniversary at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York and fete this year's class of inductees, who include artists Missy Elliott, Yusuf (the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens), Tom T. Hall and John Prine, as well as songwriters Jack Tempchin (Eagles, George Jones, Emmylou Harris) and Dallas Austin (TLC, Gwen Stefani, P!nk). Former Sony/ATV Music Publishing chairman/CEO Martin Bandier will receive the Visionary Leadership Award, while Halsey will take home the Hal David Starlight Award, named in honor of the late SHOF chairman Hal David for his support of young songwriters. Singer-actor Justin Timberlake will also be honored with the Contemporary Icon Award, credited to his "iconic status in pop culture," while the organization's highest honor -- the Johnny Mercer Award -- will be presented to songwriter Carole Bayer Sager, previously inducted in 1987.

Across five decades, the Songwriters Hall of Fame has recognized some 400-plus inductees, including composers across every genre as well as the music publishing executives who helped propel their hits to the mainstream. Under Moran's tutelage, the SHOF has bolstered its educational platforms to nurture the next generation of talent with scholarships and courses, such as its SHOF Master Sessions held at New York University's Steinhardt and the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music. For the SHOF's upcoming 50th edition, Billboard invited veteran music executives to recall their favorite memories from past ceremonies. And ahead of this year's gala, the class of 2019 honorees and inductees look back at the making of their biggest hits.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, "SexyBack"
Recorded by:
Justin Timberlake
Chart peak: No. 1 (seven weeks), Hot 100; Nov. 11, 2006

"Timbaland and I went back and forth trading lines, freestyling, but it came about after I had been listening to David Bowie for weeks. I wanted something with that same unapologetic feeling as 'Rebel Rebel' -- that feeling of being completely comfortable with yourself. After the song came out I was walking around New York City when I crossed paths with a UPS delivery guy who shouted, 'Hey, JT! I'm bringing sexy back!' He was wearing the uniform and everything. In that moment he felt that way, and that was awesome. I wanted anyone to be able to say those words."

Lance Bass Reveals Why Now Is The 'Perfect Time' For An *NSYNC Residency - 6/3/19

HollywoodLife, 6/3/19 --

*NSYNC fans, there's still hope for an actual reunion. Lance Bass tells HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY that the iconic boy band is interested in doing a residency, like many a 90s star before them, and he thinks that now's the perfect time to make it happen. While the guys have never really talked about a residency in the past, "ever since Coachella we have gotten tons of offers," Lance said, referring to their epic performance with Ariana Grande.

"So, we are actually looking at everything coming our way. I would definitely say that it's not out of the cards for us to do something," Lance told us at the Environmental Media Awards. "The perfect time to do something with *NSYNC, I think, is now." You heard the man! And his reason for wanting to do so is utterly sweet. He's looking out for the fans, first and foremost. "Not only would it be great to make music, our fans [could] enjoy a final concert because they never got that. And make people smile." Gen Z can't possibly understand how devastating it was for us Millennials to be denied an *NSYNC farewell, and how important this would be!

"What I loved about our group 20 years ago was that we always had a great positive message," Lance continued. "And I think more than anything I would like to have a good influence in the world and give someone something positive to think about for a few minutes. I think that it is important to make people happy right now." You know what would make people happy? Seeing *NSYNC reunited. "You know I do love the stage," he added, laughing.

And don't worry; you'll be the first to know if the guys really do get back together. "We will definitely tell people if it is happening or not but we have to talk and figure it out," Lance assured us.

*NSYNC's Lance Bass says 'music industry is still homophobic,' but it's time for an openly gay boy band - 6/2/19

Yahoo, 6/2/19 --

June is Pride Month, and Lance Bass of *NSYNC, who came out as gay in a People cover story in 2006, tells Yahoo Entertainment that he thinks "we are definitely in a time where we can have an openly gay boy band member and complete band. Times have completely changed."

Bass's comment coincides with a recent photo opp backstage at New Kids on the Block's Mixtape tour at Los Angeles's Hollywood Bowl with NKTOB's openly gay Jonathan Knight - who came out in 2011, 27 years after NKTOB's formation. Bass's Instagram post of the moment was amusingly captioned, "Co-chairs of G.A.B.A. The Gay American BoyBand Association. Desperately seeking new members!"

Prior to Bass's coming-out announcement four years after *NSYNC went on indefinite hiatus, media speculation - particularly in the celebrity gossip blogs - regarding his sexuality had run rampant for years. In his People announcement, Bass emphatically stated, "The thing is, I'm not ashamed - that's the one thing I want to say. I don't think it's wrong, I'm not devastated going through this. I'm more liberated and happy than I've been my whole life. I'm just happy."

The public's reaction to Bass's announcement at that time was generally positive, and it probably would be even more well-received today, in an age when LGBTQ artists of various genres, like Sam Smith, Janelle Monáe, Troye Sivan, Brandi Carlile, Frank Ocean, Kim Petras, and Halsey are on the charts.

"I mean, the music industry is still very homophobic; you still have a lot of those record heads that just are dinosaurs, and they're just going to really have this homophobic look at us," Bass acknowledges. "But times are definitely changing. Just look at the last five years, all these LGBT artists that are out and proud - and not coming out after they're famous, but before they're famous. That never would've happened 10 years ago."

Lance Bass talks about efforts to improve environment - 6/1/19

The Hollywood Reporter, 5/31/19 --

Jaden Smith, Constance Zimmer, Nikki Reed, Malin Akerman, and Emmanuelle Chriqui all walked the green carpet at the Montage Beverly Hills on Thursday night to celebrate the 29th Annual Environmental Media Awards.

The EMAs honor movies, television shows and individuals who raise awareness and put forth a positive message on important environmental issues.

Lance Bass, a long time supporter of the EMAs and currently a co-chairman of the board, spoke to THR about the importance of acting both globally and locally when working to improve the environment.

"I shot in the Dominican Republic for a few months and our crew got together and raised money to build water wells," he said. "Just to see these towns get fresh water for the first time was so incredible and it didn't take much time at all to do it or a lot of money to raise."

Lance Bass Takes Pride in Rocco's WeHo - 5/30/19

L.A. Weekly, 5/30/19 --

Lance Bass has been coming to West Hollywood for more than half of his life, since he was the bass singer of the teen pop sensation *NSYNC. It was the place where he was first able to be himself and come out as a gay man. When the Rocco's Tavern group reached out to him to partner in the newly opened Rocco's WeHo in the heart of West Hollywood, the former Dancing with the Stars finalist jumped at the chance.

"I have a lot of loves in my life, but art, music and food are my favorite things, and we've been able to put those all together in one place," Bass tells L.A. Weekly on a personalized tour of the airy 5,000-square-foot space designed specifically for the neighborhood.

"It was a no-brainer when the guys came to me. Years ago I'd always go to the Studio City location to watch my football games, and I just loved the guys. When they told me that they got this spot - which is the best corner in West Hollywood - I couldn't believe it. I knew how many people were fighting for it and the fact that they got it, I had to be involved. I hopped on board immediately."

The corner spot at Santa Monica Boulevard and San Vicente Boulevard, where the two rainbow crosswalks meet, seats about 200 with indoor and outdoor dining and will be offering live music, brunch and burlesque. The bar food menu that includes the famous Rocco's Tavern New York pizza and spicy wings has added a vegan pizza and vegetarian options to adjust to the neighborhood's healthy appetite as well.

Elton John Considered Justin Timberlake to Star in 'Rocketman' - 5/30/19

The Hollywood Reporter, 5/29/19 --

Taron Egerton may have drawn raves in Cannes for his portrayal of Elton John in Rocketman, but he wasn't the initial actor envisioned by the legend.

In fact, the first person Sir Elton thought of to portray him was none other than Justin Timberlake. So, where did John come up with that idea? The former boybander-turned-hitmaker/sometime actor starred in the David LaChapelle-helmed video of John's 2001 song This Train Don't Stop There Anymore.

"But we never formerly approached Justin because we weren't ever at a stage where it was the right time to approach him," John's husband and Rocketman producer David Furnish tells THR. "But he did an amazing job in the video. He put on a prosthetic nose, and it turned out to have been some really interesting acting work as well."

Lance Bass Hopes BFF Lisa Vanderpump Takes 'A Break' From 'RHOBH' After Puppygate Scandal - 5/30/19

HollywoodLife, 5/30/19 --

Lance Bass, 40, and Lisa Vanderpump, 58, are absolute best friend goals, and when we caught up with the *NSYNC member at the 29th Annual Environmental Media Awards, he revealed that he has a few hopes for his bestie in 2019. For starters, he hopes Lisa will take a break from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. "I have told her for years to move on," he EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife at the May 29 event. "I tell her that she has Vanderpump Rules, which is so much better anyway, but she was a original member of the show and feels obligated to be a part of it. That was her life and she knows what that show did for her, so you know, she likes to see things through, but once people pounce on you like that and try to break you down in such a evil way, it's hard to love what you do after that. So, I hope she takes a little break!" Lance told us.

However, Lance was sure to say that a "break" means just that, and much like Bethenny Frankel, she could return to the show in due time. "You know she can come back in a few years, look Bethenny did it. Just take a little break right now. She needs a little breather," he explains. It has been an incredibly emotional season for Lisa, who lost a number of friendships after her co-stars turned on her following the Puppygate feud, and even accused her of selling stories about them to the tabloids.

To make matters worse, Lisa recently came under fire for making a a joke about Erika Jayne that fans felt had transphobic undertones. But - Lance took a moment to defend his friend and clarify a few things about her comment."That affected her pretty badly," Lance tells us. "Everyone jokes around all the time and this particular joke she was talking about drag queens, not transgender people and there is a difference and people just put those together. But no, the transgender community is different from the drag community and she was making a joke all about Erika because Erika always jokes about tucking her penis, so she made the joke and unfortunately it didn't hit well, but good on her for knowing what she meant to say and owning it," Lance shared.

There's no official word from Lisa regarding a break just yet, but before agreeing to film this season of RHOBH, Lisa admitted that she considered taking time away from the show, especially after the passing of her brother. "I said I should probably take the year off, but Bravo kind of thought they wanted me," she confessed to HollywoodLife and other media outlets after the season premiere on Feb. 12. "We talked about that. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have done it, but anyway, there's a lot of positivity that came out of it. It highlighted all of my charities and that was really fortunate to me." Then, during an EXCLUSIVE interview in February, she told us that she's "fed up with being the target" of her co-stars. "I'm a kind and compassionate person, and I'm fed up with being the target of these women. This is the fourth season I've been a target," she said.

New Kids on the Block Tell *NSYNC to Tour without Justin Timberlake - 5/27/19

toofab.com, 5/27/19 --

Donnie Wahlberg may be touring with the New Kids on the Block right now, but he wants to see another boy band make a big comeback: *NSYNC.

On Sunday night's Hollywood Bowl stop of the Mixtape Tour -- which finds NKOTB sharing the stage with Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Naughty by Nature and Salt 'N' Pepa -- Wahlberg put one of the "Bye, Bye, Bye" boys on the spot by calling for a reunion.

Lance Bass attended the show with husband Michael Turchin and was briefly brought on stage as the guys thanked him for appearing in their latest music video.

"I know it's gonna cause problems right now, but it's been a little too long without an *NSYNC reunion," Wahlberg then said into the mic, as the audience lost its cool. "I'm just saying. I'm just saying."

"And if you can't get the fifth guy, do it with four," Donnie added after Bass stepped off the [stage]. "We'll still all come!"

Lance Bass: It'd be 'incredible' to collaborate with Ariana Grande - 5/26/19

Page Six, 5/25/19 --

After *NSYNC (minus Justin Timberlake) reunited to perform with Ariana Grande at Coachella this year, Lance Bass would love to work with her again.

"We have no plans [to collaborate] but that would be incredible," Bass, 40, told Page Six at Virgin Hotels San Francisco's opening party on Thursday. "Hey, if she wants to, I'm sure we'd be open to it."

The singer also told us about how much he loved getting the boy band back together again.

"It was just nice to be back on stage with those guys," he said. "That's what I live for, you know, being able to perform with those guys, and it was an incredible feeling. I didn't know if we would ever be able to do it again."

As for re-learning the choreography, Bass says it's like riding a bike.

"It was so easy," he said. "[Ariana] wanted to do the original choreography [to 'Tearin' Up My Heart'] which we changed in 1998 so we thought it would be a little difficult to get it back but it only took us about an hour to learn the whole thing so it was nice."

UPDATE: Justin Timberlake receives honorary doctorate from Berklee - 5/13/19

CNN, 5/13/19 --

Fresh-faced college seniors aren't the only ones being honored this graduation season.

Missy Elliott, Alex Lacamoire and Justin Timberlake all received honorary Doctor of Music degrees from Berklee College of Music on Saturday.

Anyone tuned in to the world of elite music schools knows this is a big deal.

"This year's honorary doctorate recipients are being recognized for their achievements and influences in music, and for their enduring global impact," the school said in a statement in March.

The three musicians certainly have the accomplishments to back up the honor.

Justin Timberlake's work as an actor, author and 10-time Grammy Award-winning musician has made him a household name.

With hits like "SexyBack" and "Can't Stop the Feeling!"-- along with appearances in "The Social Network" and "Shrek the Third" -- he has fans across generations. Timberlake was recognized by TIME as "one of the 100 most influential people in the world" in both 2007 and 2013.

His appearances on "Saturday Night Live" also show he's really funny, which is clear in the video he posted to Twitter after receiving his degree.

"Ooooh y'all messed up now. Turned me into a doctor! Y'all messed up!" he exclaimed.

Berklee students put on a private show for the three superstars the night before commencement.

"What a night. Thank you, @MissyElliott, @jtimberlake, and @LacketyLac! #BerkleeGrad2019," Berklee College of Music posted on Twitter after the show. Photos show students performing for the trio. They also picture two of the honorees beaming on stage with the performers.

When Justin Timberlake hit the Berklee Performance Center stage Friday afternoon, he skipped the suit and tie. In Boston to receive an honorary doctor of music degree from Berklee on Saturday, the 10-time Grammy winner sat down with Berklee VP for Innovation and Strategy Panos A. Panay to talk about music, inspiration, and collaborating with Beyoncé, Madonna, Chris Stapleton, and Pharrell Williams, among many others.

"I'm in love with songs and the feel of music. I dare to suck when I'm writing them, though I try to make it look easy when I'm onstage," he told the crowd, which included his mom, Lynn. "It always comes down to a really great song."

Also receiving honorary doctor of music degrees on Saturday: "Hamilton" and "Dear Evan Hansen" orchestrator Alex Lacamoire and hip-hop legend Missy Elliott.

Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough on Why *NSYNC Should Return as Foursome, Joint Tour Talk & Going Solo - 5/10/19

Entertainment Tonight, 5/10/19 --

Following their show-stopping performance with Ariana Grande at Coachella, fans aren't the only ones calling for *NSYNC to reunite, even if it's without Justin Timberlake. Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough is sharing how he's been encouraging the remaining members to consider reviving the boy band and is open to a joint tour someday.

"I've definitely talked with Joey [Fatone] before about us doing something," Dorough, 45, told ET when asked about bandmate AJ McLean recently declaring how a joint Backstreet Boys/*NSYNC tour would cause fans to "lose their ever-living minds." "I've even encouraged them to go on themselves and keep performing. We were once four. I'm like, 'Dude, if we can do it the four of us, so can you!'"

Backstreet Boys member Kevin Richardson left the band in 2006, before returning in 2012. Dorough admitted that it might be harder for *NSYNC to continue without Timberlake since he sang a large chunk of the group's lead vocals back in the day, but believes they could still successfully make a comeback.

"Obviously, Justin was a main lead in that group so I know it's a little bit different," Dorough said. "With Kevin or myself, back in the day, it [wasn't] as hard to go on as four. If it was Nick, AJ or Brian who had left, it might have been more challenging."

"But I still think that there are fans out there, who would love to see them and who would hate for them not to continue on just because one other person is doing his own thing," Dorough continued. "So, I'm always encouraging them -- and all the other groups from the past that are out there too. I feel like nowadays we only help each other continue the pop scene and the nostalgia."

Indeed, the boy banders have formed strong bonds and supported each other over the years, despite talk of strong rivalry during their heyday. Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC members have attended each other's weddings, turned up at each other's concerts, written music for each other and starred together on the big screen, in Nick Carter's 2016 film, Dead 7.
