Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel Welcome Second Child After Secret Pregnancy? - 7/19/20

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

Just Jared, 7/18/20 --

A new report claims that Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake have welcomed their second child into the world!

The 38-year-old actress gave birth to a baby boy earlier this week after a top-secret pregnancy, according to the Daily Mail.

It is being reported that the married couple is currently in Big Sky, Montana after welcoming their newborn child and they've been quarantining there during the pandemic.

Justin and Jessica started dating back in 2007 and they tied the knot in 2012. They are already the parents of a five-year-old son named Silas.

The last time Jessica was photographed in public was back in February and she hasn't posted any full-body snaps on Instagram since her birthday post on March 3.

We have reached out to both of their reps and will update if we get confirmation on the story!

The Greatest Moments of CMA AWARDS LIVE on Bluray - 7/18/20

Justin Timberlake

Military Press, 7/17/20 --

Currently on Bluray from Time Life comes a few of the most memorable moments with CMA AWARDS LIVE GREATEST MOMENTS: 2008-2015.

The Country Music Association is also known as the CMA Awards and is televised to present awards to artists in country music for their achievements to the industry. First presented in 1967 at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium, a year later it became a televised event. In 1968 the event took place at the Grand Ole Opry and continued until 2004 at the new Grand Ole Opry House. Changing locations a few times since then hasn't changed the excitement of such a big award evening.

The final year on the Bluray is filled with one of my most favorite performances. Starting with Sam Hunt performing 'Take Your Time' and Little Big Town doing 'Girl Crush'. It all leads up to, what I consider, the pillar of performances with Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake performing 'Tennesee Whiskey/Drink You Away.' If you haven't seen these two singings together you are truly missing something amazing that reaches down to that place where music inside us all resides.

Boy bands will come and go, but their beloved albums last forever.

One Direction, *NSYNC, BTS and Backstreet Boys are the only four acts to notch two albums each on Billboard's "30 Best Boy Band Albums of the Past 30 Years" list. One Direction takes the cake with Four, the British boy group's 2014 LP that's only filled with panoramic pop-rock singalong confections like the lead single "Steal My Girl."

So which boy band album do you still jam out to?

Hosts Tom Bergeron, Erin Andrews will be replaced on 'Dancing With the Stars' - 7/14/20

USA TODAY, 7/13/20 --

Tom Bergeron the smooth-talking, unflappable host of "Dancing With the Stars" will not return to the reality dance competition as the show moves in new direction next season.

Former contestant Erin Andrews, who has co-hosted since 2014, will also be replaced when the 29th season begins in fall 2020, the reality show confirmed Monday.

Bergeron, the original host who has worked on the show for 28 seasons, tweeted Monday that ABC would be "continuing without me" for the first time.

Bergeron was nominated for 11 Emmys during his "DWTS" run for host on a reality series on "DWTS," winning in 2012.

Lance Bass, who took third place in Season 7, tweeted one word at Bergeron: "Legend."

From BTS to New Kids on the Block: 7 Boy Band Owned Restaurants Around the Globe - 7/13/20

Lance Bass and Joey Fatone

Popdust, 7/13/20 --

Lance Bass

For Lance Bass, opening the doors of his own sports bar, Rocco's, in the LGBTQ+ hot spot of West Hollywood, California, was completely "nerve-racking."

"It took us a long time to get it open," he says. "There were a lot of permits to sort and that block is insanely-popular. Our corner was the only one that sat dead for years, so it's nice to see it all lit up, inviting and feeling safer."

Rocco's was already an established sports tavern throughout LA, with Bass having frequented the Studio City spot before the opportunity arose to invest in the first of many upcoming LGBTQ+ versions of the bar. And, while Bass continues to juggle countless other projects, he recognizes the importance of remaining involved with business operations.

"Especially at the beginning because you never know exactly what the community wants, and that neighborhood is very fickle," he says. "We were lucky because there's other Rocco's, so we trained everyone quickly and they were perfect by the time we opened for Pride. It was so much fun."

While Bass' *NSYNC background no doubt attracts fans, he's finding Rocco's WeHo to be more of a local hangout. "It's not very touristy, which is great because that's exactly what the neighborhood wanted, so I don't promote it to my fans. I've definitely noticed our regulars are very local and that makes me happy."

Joey Fatone

*NSYNC's Joey Fatone had some fun with his surname while launching hot dog joint, Fat Ones, but the menu is where fans can truly get to know the musician.

"Fat Ones is a combination of who he is, where he's from and where he's been," says Fat Ones Orlando owner Brian Connor. "All of our features are an homage to Joey, from the 'Angelo' (Joey's character in My Big Fat Greek Wedding) and the 'Baritone' (his singing style) to the 'Bensonhurst' (where he was born) and the 'Fat One' (his nickname in school)."

Fatone's love for hot dogs stemmed from growing up in New York and eating Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs at Coney Island, followed by shaved ice, which Fat Ones also serves up.

Connor says Fatone is a "great" business partner, who meets with fans, provides giveaways, and boosts the restaurant's social media presence. However, he notes the eatery's success is due to more than Fatone's boy band background.

"Joey has so much success in his career and *NSYNC's only a portion of that. We get contacted by fans every day who listen to his podcast, watch him on Impractical Jokers, or love him in Big Fat Greek Wedding."

SZA Talks New Music, Her Fears And Not Being Confined To One Genre - 7/8/20

Trolls World Tour

wonderlandmagazine.com, 7/8/20 --

When SZA calls me from her Malibu home, we're on day 45 of the novel coronavirus-induced stay-at-home order in Los Angeles County. Her 2017 album, Ctrl, has just reached 150 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart and her fans are hungry for its follow-up. SZA is definitely working on it - but she doesn't necessarily want to talk about it. "Deepak Chopra says that when you spend energy talking about something, you use the energy that you would have had to complete the project," she explains. "I'm just trying to stop talking about it and, you know, do it."

We get to talking about SZA's most recent single, "The Other Side", on which she collaborated with Justin Timberlake for the Trolls World Tour soundtrack. "Justin is a riot," she says. "He's funny. I enjoy him greatly. He was so cool and he told me all these stories about how he hears harmonies and how he did as a child, and it really resonated with me because that's how I felt. My older music had a lot of reverb, a lot of harmonies, and a lot of layers, and Justin can isolate each layer and make it perfect. It's just like, wow. He made a lot of sense to me."

SZA spent her childhood listening to Justin's old band, *NSYNC, as well as other boy bands like LFO, Backstreet Boys and Hanson. "I don't know why, but I was very much an "MMMBop" person," she says. "I loved that boy band energy. It was intoxicating." Her diverse musical tastes - including everyone from Ella Fitzgerald to Jamiroquai, Björk to Limp Bizkit - all play a part in SZA's own unique sound, and why she doesn't want to be categorised within the one genre of R&B. "Nobody does that to white people at all, ever. No one ever does that to Adele or Justin Bieber when they're wholeheartedly singing R&B. Or Bjรถrk, where nobody's sure what the f**k she's singing, but it's energy and nobody's concerned."

Justin Timberlake Calls For 'Disgusting' Confederate Statues to Come Down - 7/7/20

Billboard, 7/7/20 --

Justin Timberlake made a passionate plea for change in his home state of Tennessee on Monday (July 6). In an Instagram post, Timberlake, 39, joined Taylor Swift in urging officials to take down or relocate Confederate memorials in the midst of the country's national reckoning about racial justice.

"When we protest racism in America, people think we are protesting America itself. Why is that the reaction? Because America was built by men who believed in and benefitted from racism. Plain and simple," Timberlake wrote. "If we plan to move forward, these confederate monuments must come down."

The post was in reaction to an ACLU tweet from July 4 that noted that a statue memorializing Confederate general and KKK leader Nathaniel Bedford Forrest-- responsible for one of the worst atrocities of the Civil War during the Fort Pillow Massacre -- still stands in the Tennessee State House. Timberlake's former *NSYNC bandmate, Lance Bass, replied to JT's statement, writing "Amen!"

Last month, Swift said statues of two Confederate figures, Edward Carmack and Forrest, in her home state of Tennessee "celebrate racist historical figures who did evil things," calling on the Capitol Commission and the Tennessee Historical Commission to permanently remove them.

"Taking down statues isn't going to fix centuries of systemic oppression, violence and hatred that black people have had to endure but it might bring us one small step closer to making ALL Tennesseans and visitors to our state feel safe - not just the white ones," Swift wrote as part of her lengthy argument. "We need to retroactively change the status of people who perpetuated hideous patterns of racism from 'heroes' to 'villains.' And villains don't deserve statues."

President Trump has repeatedly defended monuments honoring Confederate figures over the past month, using a racial slur against Sen. Elizabeth Warren last week in vowing to veto any bill that will lead to the renaming of military bases that honor Confederate military leaders Gen. Robert E. Lee and others.

Darryl Pearson talks working with Justin Timberlake & more - 7/3/20

FutureSex/LoveSounds album cover

youknowigotsoul.com, 7/2/20 --

We recently had a chance to catch up with producer Darryl Pearson. During our conversation, we touched on his time in DeVante Swing's Swing Mob & Da Bassment, working with artists like Ginuwine, Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Sugah, Sista, Playa, Tweet, and Magoo, leaving Da Bassment and working with artists like Dru Hill, Mya, Justin Timberlake and Beyonce, and what he's currently working on.

YouKnowIGotSoul: Talk about working with Justin Timberlake on the "FutureSex/LoveSounds" album.

Darryl Pearson: I did "SexyBack" and "Sexy Ladies". I played bass guitar on those. It was fun. The whole project was really fun. We spent a whole lot of time. Justin is a machine. Working with him is ridiculous, he has one of the best personalities I've ever met. His memory, he never writes anything down. He just memorizes everything. It was a lot of fun. We just got into the studio and were jamming.

YouKnowIGotSoul: Anything you'd like to add?

Darryl Pearson: I like what you guys are doing. A lot of people forget where things originate or come from. They have to remember, even moving forward, you have to remember where you came from. People have to be real, know where it came from, take examples from what happened in the past, do new things, but never forget the root of what it is. Just like with us. Even a Justin Timberlake, he could go back to the 30's and 40's and sing songs that nobody ever thought about. It's great to see young people that are able to use everything past, present and future to make something new. You can't forget the past, you have to pay attention to your present, and have to imagine what those things could be in the future in order to make it something new and innovative and different.

Lance Bass And Ex Danielle Fishel Look Back His Coming Out: 'I Always Knew You Would Completely Accept Me' - 7/1/20

Lance Bass

ET Canada, 6/30/20 --

A lot has changed in Lance Bass' life since his relationship with Danielle Fishel.

On the latest episode of Bass' "The Daily Popcast", the "Boy Meets World" actress stopped by and the two talked about their relationship before Bass came out as gay.

"Of course, we bonded immediately and you know, fell in love immediately," Bass recalled. "I don't know if I've told you the story about the next day, after I met you."

He then moved on to his coming out and how that affected Fishel.

"As a straight girl, this happens so many times to girls in high school, dating someone who ends up being gay, how was that for you to find out about that?" he asked. "Did you feel bad about having that relationship?"

"No," Fishel responded. "You know, right from the beginning... so I had heard rumors that you were gay before you ever told me yourself. And all I felt at the time, was this feeling of, 'I hope that he isn't not telling me because he thinks that I won't accept him.' Like, I had this feeling of, 'Gosh he hasn't told me that. And I would be so loving and I hope that he knows that.'"

Bass and Fishel dated throughout 1999 and 2000. The *NSYNC singer came out publicly in 2006.

"Around the time that you came out publicly, you had a... I think it was a Halloween party, and I went to your house and you pulled me aside," Fishel said. "Do you remember any of this? You pulled me aside and you told me, and I just said, 'Lance, it's totally okay.' And we hugged, it was great."

"I always knew you would completely accept me," Bass told her. "But you know, for someone being that young and going through that and being so closeted and not telling one person. It's just embarrassing. You don't want people to know because you're just so embarrassed about being gay at that point. It was a different time, you know."

In 2014, Bass married painter and actor Michael Turchin.

Mask campaign Step Up, Volusia launches Monday to help slow coronavirus community spread - 6/27/20

JC Chasez

MSN, 6/26/20 --

DAYTONA BEACH - With Volusia County leaders opposed to mandating face coverings despite a new surge of coronavirus cases, the county's communicators have come up with a different approach.

Using billboards and digital messaging, county and city officials on Friday unveiled a messaging campaign: "Step Up Volusia," with the tagline: "Wash Up, Back Up, Mask Up."

NBA stars Vince Carter and Bo Outlaw plus *NSYNC singer JC Chasez will lend their names to the campaign, which formally rolls out on Monday.

The approach is to urge face masks, rather than require them. It is to seek public participation in keeping social distance and washing hands.

"On behalf of County Manager George Recktenwald, Volusia County government strongly urges all residents and visitors of Volusia County to wear a mask when out in public, when you're at work in a business, or a patron of a business, you play a very important part in the prevention of the spread of of COVID-19," said Kevin Captain, director of community information. "Ultimately, it comes down to personal responsibility."

Stacey Abrams Partners With Stars to Boost Census Participation: "We Can't Be Left Out of the Story" - 6/25/20

The Hollywood Reporter, 6/25/20 --

Stacey Abrams is on a mission on behalf of the U.S. Census.

The politician, lawyer, voting rights activist, author and former Minority Leader in Georgia's House of Representatives has partnered with America Ferrera, Wilmer Valderrama and Ryan Piers Williams' nonprofit Harness to help reach as many people as possible and get them to fill out this year's census count by the Oct. 31 deadline. The partnership hits very close to home for Abrams as she founded her own organization, Fair Count, and has long made fair and accurate representation and equity part of her political and social platforms. She even devotes an entire chapter in her book, Our Time is Now, to the census and all of its implications for a more just future.

Abrams and the trio behind Harness have linked up just as Harness, in partnership with NowThis, has debuted a pair of PSAs (one in English, one in Spanish) to help promote the #BeCounted campaign to encourage more residents to fill out census documents by the Oct. 31 deadline. Per today's announcement, it is "aimed to reach hard-to-count, minority communities that are notoriously undercounted." Those featured in the PSAs include Abrams, Ferrera, Valderrama, Adam Rodriguez, Alfre Woodard, Amy Schumer, Connie Britton, Cornelius Smith Jr., Daniel Dae Kim, Darren Criss, Emily Wickersham, Eva Longoria, Fawn Sharp, Gloria Calderón Kellett, Joaquin Phoenix, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Ripa, Kenny Leon, Kerry Washington, Meryl Streep, Queen Latifah, Rooney Mara, Rosario Dawson and Sandra Oh, among many activists and organization leaders.

Lance Bass Claps Back After Jax Taylor's Rep Calls Him a Liar Amid Business Partnership Drama, Says Vanderpump Rules Star is Surrounded by "Yes People" - 6/23/20

Lance Bass

realityblurb.com, 6/23/20 --

Lance Bass is calling out Jax Taylor's rep for allegedly lying about their Just Add X company partnership.

On an episode of his podcast, the former *NSYNC singer and close friend to Lisa Vanderpump discussed the recent firings of Vanderpump Rules cast members and reflected on Jax's "ignorant" antics, suggesting he may be the next to go.

The drama between Lance and Jax started last week after Lance stated he had severed ties with the reality star professionally.

However, Jax's rep told a different story, telling E! News in a statement on June 16 that Jax offered to step down from t

he company "in an emotional state" and the team "reassured and fully supported him."

Now, Lance is stepping in to defend himself, taking to his podcast again to deny the idea that he was lying about anything.

"We're getting a lot of hatred towards us because of our involvement with Jax," said Lance on his podcast, then referencing Jax's publicist's statement. "The publicists and managers get involved and lawyers and threw the biggest wrench in everything and basically said I was lying."

Lance continued by telling the truth of the situation and how he tried to explain to Jax what made his past comments inappropriate.

"You wanna know what really went down? I do not think Jax Taylor is a racist or a homophobe and I've said that millions of times. I would not be acquainted with someone if I thought they were a racist or homophobe. It doesn't make sense," Lance stated. "We've known Jax for a long time and we've always said he's the lovable douchebag. He says the stupidest things."

The 41-year-old then noted that Jax's "downfall" is his team who continue to let him off the hook. He definitely didn't appreciate Jax's team calling him a liar, either.

"If you're going to put yes people around you, you're going nowhere. We are all ignorant. It's how you deal with it and how you learn from it, that's what people want to see," he stated. "Sorry this got dramatic, but I have to defend myself. When somebody calls me a liar, I have to tell you what happened."

'Pawn Stars' showcases a Chumlee-Joey Fatone summit - 6/23/20

Joey Fatone

Las Vegas Review-Journal, 6/23/20 --

Austin "Chumlee" Russell showed Joey Fatone a vintage action figure from Fatone's days in *NSYNC, and said, "It's like looking in the mirror."

Fatone agreed, "And anatomically correct, by the way."

The ever-whimsical Fatone was the celeb guest on Monday's episode of "Pawn Stars" on History channel. The onetime boy-band sensation - and former host of "The Price is Right Live!" at Bally's - was asked to authenticate the band's signatures on five dolls. He also reviewed the autographs on a promotional photo from the group's late-1990s commercial peak.

Fatone confirmed that the signatures of himself, Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick matched the handwriting from *NSYNC's meet-and-greets. The original asking price was $500.

Chumlee, saying, "I need to make a little profit," talked it down to a $200 sales price. That's what a single doll signed by Fatone would be worth.

Boys grow up to be fathers. I think about that a lot these days. We try to teach our son to love and to respect everyone - we teach him that all people are all created equal, and that no one should be treated differently because of the color of their skin. We teach him this because one day, he will go on to teach his kids the same. It's a cycle. And right now, as we all work to undo generations of discrimination that have plagued our system and our communities across this country... I'm reminded today that the first lessons start at home. Im grateful for both of my dads and my mother for teaching me those lessons from the beginning. And for listening to me when I had something to say that they hadn't learned. I pray for that humility with my own son. I'm grateful for my wife, who made me a father, and is my favorite person/partner/teacher/friend in all of it. I'm grateful for my son, who is always ALWAYS teaching me right back. โ € โ € Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there. While we owe our sons and daughters these lessons in the places where the doors close at night, I hope you are as inspired as I am to make them THE TRUTH in the places that same door opens every morning and we send them out to discover. There's more to do. And we are built for it. After all, we are the Dads. Sending my love to you and yours.

Lance Bass Says Jax Taylor 'Reverted Back' to His Old Self on Recent Season of 'Vanderpump Rules' - 6/18/20

Lance Bass

Entertainment Tonight, 6/17/20 --

The drama between Lance Bass and Jax Taylor continues.

Just one day after a rep for Taylor denied Bass' claims that they are no longer business partners, the *NSYNC singer shared even more of his side of the story on his Daily Popcast show.

"We're getting a lot of hatred toward us because of our involvement with Jax ... because of what's going down with that cast and everything," Bass said of the Vanderpump Rules star, who was recently called out by co-star Faith Stowers. "[Jax] texted and said, 'Look, I think it's smart for me to step down,' and we said, 'Yes, that is the only thing we can do right now and it sucks,' and it's very big of him. I get that, you know? But then the publicists and managers and lawyers get involved and just throw the biggest wrench in everything and basically said that I was lying that he was stepping down."

"You wanna know what really went down? Look, I'm gonna preface this right now, because I know we have a lot of new listeners here. I do not think Jax Taylor is a racist or a homophobe, and I've said that millions of times," he added. "I would not be acquaintances with someone if I thought you were a racist and a homophobe. It just doesn't make sense. The whole reason I married him and his wife last summer was I thought it was a great statement, because I was replacing their [homophobic] preacher. To me, that was a statement, and I thought it was big of them to make that statement."

Bass continued on, explaining that he's known Taylor for a long time now, and often refers to him as "the lovable douchebag" who just says "the stupidest things." He says the two were first introduced to each other 15 years ago through a mutual friend, the same pal who came up with the idea for their Just Add X mixer line.

Bass was approached about collaborating with Taylor for the line two years ago. He said he thought it would be a good way to show fans how far Taylor has come since his younger, wilder days that were showcased on earlier seasons of Vanderpump Rules.

Justin Timberlake Calls For 'Justice For Breonna Taylor,' Hands Over Instagram To Black Lives Matter Activists - 6/16/20

ET Canada, 6/16/20 --

Justin Timberlake is using his massive reach as a platform for Black activists.

Timberlake, 39, announced Tuesday on Instagram that he would hand over his social media channels to those spearheading the Black Lives Matter movement. The "Trolls World Tour" actor said he has been speaking with Black politicians and advocates to learn how he can best support the cause.

"A few days ago I posted a list of organizations that had been on the ground doing good work assuring that the world knows that Black Lives Matter," Timberlake shared. "I've been talking to a lot of these organizations about how I can use my channels to push their message out, to get petitions signed, to encourage people to have the hard conversations."

"I'm going to have some of the people behind these organizations," he continued. "To tell you about the work they have been doing, the steps they are taking to make this very, very necessary change. And to share how you and your friends and family can get involved."

On Tuesday, the "True Colors" singer handed the reigns to Colour of Change president Rashad Robinson. American politician Stacy Abrams will also be involved down the line.

Timberlake urged his audience to "please watch and please listen," before punctuating his video with, "Justice for Breonna Taylor."

Taylor, 26, was fatally shot by Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers on March 13 after police executed a no-knock search warrant at her Kentucky apartment. The no-knock search was conducted because someone in police custody had a prior relationship with Taylor. No drugs were found at her residence.

Jax Taylor Responds to Lance Bass' Claim They Are No Longer Business Partners - 6/16/20

Lance Bass

E! Online, 6/16/20 --

Jax Taylor is responding to Lance Bass's claim they are no longer in business together.

Bass stated on the latest episode of Daily Popcast that Taylor is "stepping down," from Just Add X, the drink mixer company the two recently launched. Though he didn't cite a specific reason for wanting to cut ties with the Vanderpump Rules star, Bass' decision comes after Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired from the Bravo show last week following former cast member Faith Stowers' claims that Stassi and Kristen called the police on her.

However, more than 2,500 people have signed a Change.org petition calling on Bravo to fire Taylor, since he also made inflammatory statements about Stowers, and has a history of problematic comments.

"It's gonna cost him everything," Bass said. "And he's stepping down from Just Add X, which you know, we have to."

Bass continued, "You know, we can't be involved and associated with any of this going down. We have to do the right thing."

However, Jax's side of the story is quite different.

"Last week the Just Add X website had been hacked, showcasing some hateful slurs, which Jax felt horrible about. In an emotional state, Jax had texted Lance and the Just Add X team offering to step down from the company if that was the direction they wanted to take," Jax's rep tells E! News in a statement Monday. "The team immediately followed up with a phone call with Lance and the team reassured and fully supported him."

"It was decided that Jax would continue to stay on the team and that they all had his back given these unpredictable times. The statements from Lance on the podcast today are not only untrue but also extremely confusing and shocking to say the least. Jax is still very much a partner and founder of Just Add X and supports the team and the brand whole-heartedly," the statement continues. "This has been a tough time for everyone involved, especially with the critical state of Brittany's mother in the ICU, their focus has been on that."

On his latest podcast episode, Bass also predicted that Bravo will soon cut ties with Taylor as well.

Justin Timberlake Outraged By Rayshard Brooks' Death - 6/15/20

AceShowbiz, 6/15/20 --

Justin Timberlake is left heartbroken by the fatal shooting of Rayshard Brooks. Two days after the 27-year-old African-American man was shot in the back by the police in Atlanta, Georgia for resisting arrest, the "Can't Stop the Feeling!" hitmaker expressed his outrage over the tragic loss as a fellow father.

Sharing a portrait of Brooks cradling his infant daughter in a hospital, Timberlake wrote on Instagram, "As a dad, this photo hurts. #RayshardBrooks was a father of three girls...1, 2, and 8 years old. He should not be dead." He added in the post he shared Sunday, June 14, "Neither should #RiahMilton, #DominiqueFells, and #RobertFuller."

"This week, these four innocent people became victims of racism, violence, and intolerance. And we're still waiting for Justice for #BreonnaTaylor," the former *NSYNC member declared. He went on to share, "I'm heartbroken for their families and for this country."

Pointing out the roots of the problem, the musician husband of actress Jessica Biel continued to call for a change in the system. "The system needs to change... it has repeatedly shown us that Black people in America are not safe," he stated. "I'll follow up with more resources and ways to help. Continue to SAY THEIR NAMES. #BlackLivesMatter."

Two weeks earlier, Timberlake had made a call for action as thousands across the country continued with the Black Lives Matter protests. "Those of us who call ourselves allies need to do everything in our power to stand with the black community right NOW," he declared in an Instagram post. "BLACK people are regularly being murdered unjustly by police."

"We have seen it. Over and over again. This has gone on in America for too long, and it's NEVER been okay. We have to take action, we have to make noise," he continued. "Allies... this is the time for us all to take a hard look in the mirror, share responsibility and ask our family and friends what can we do to educate our own communities."

As for Brooks, the African-American man was fatally shot in the back by police officers who responded to a call about a possible DUI incident. He was found asleep in his car at a Wendy's drive-through restaurant, and failed a field sobriety test. During the process of his arrest, he allegedly grabbed the cop's tasers and attempted to run, prompting the officer to shoot him.

Lance Bass Attends Black Lives Matter Protest After Getting Into Nasty Twitter Feud With Candace Owens - 6/13/20

Lance Bass

HollywoodLife, 6/13/20 --

Lance Bass, 41, made sure to do his part for the Black Lives Matter movement on June 12 when he walked outside to write a list of names of African American victims who were sadly killed at the hands of police. The singer, who was joined by husband Michael Turchin, 33, wore a white T-shirt with Kermit the Frog on it, a black face mask, and dark jeans while taking action and he also showed off light blue hair. He was holding a white piece of paper and writing the names on a glass window with a brightly colored marker as others around him did the same thing.

Lance's latest participation for the Black Lives Matter movement comes as no surprise since he's been very open about supporting the cause. The move comes just a few days after he made headlines for getting into a Twitter feud with conservative activist Candace Owens, 31, who has made it clear she is against the Black Lives Matter movement and thinks the protesters seeking justice for George Floyd, who died at the hands of police on May 25, should stop treating him like a "hero" because of his criminal past. After Lance called her a "fraud" in a Facebook post on June 8, she clapped back with her own tweet that told him he "peaked in high school."

Despite Candace's stance on the protests that have been seeking racial justice, Lance and many other celebrities have been taking part in demonstrations and social media posts to show their support for black lives. Madonna, Jamie Foxx, Ariana Grande, Michael B. Jordan, and Halsey are just some of the popular people seen on the streets since Floyd's death.

Brandi D. (of Blaque) discusses working with *NSYNC - 6/11/20

*NSYNC

YouKnowIGotSoul, 6/11/20 --

We recently caught up with Brandi D. of the R&B group Blaque for an interview on Instagram Live. During our conversation, we talked about the finally released "Torch" album, memories of Natina Reed and Left Eye, new music from the group in the future, and much more.

YouKnowIGotSoul: You also had the "Bring It All to Me" remix with JC Chasez of *NSYNC.

Brandi D: *NSYNC was right on the tip of that explosion, and we were just so lucky to know them! We spent a lot of time with them before we toured with them. We had the same manager and used to hang out with them in Orlando. We got a chance to know them before we got on tour. Once we started touring, it became family. A fun fact is that Justin was actually supposed to do it, but he couldn't because he was filming something. So we went to JC and he was glad to do it. We loved the guys, it didn't really matter who it was on the song. We were blessed to have him on there.

Lance Bass backs changing Mississippi flag - 6/11/20

Kansas.com, 6/10/20 --

*NSYNC star Lance Bass didn't pass up the opportunity to poke fun at former band mate Justin Timberlake in a recent post supporting changes to the Mississippi state flag.

Bass, a native of Laurel, Mississippi, shared a meme to his Facebook page Tuesday, taking a dig at Timberlake's infamous matching denim ensemble.

In 2001, the "Cry Me a River" crooner arrived to the American Music Awards with then-girlfriend Britney Spears sporting head-to-toe denim. That year was also the last time Mississippians voted on the state flag - which remains the only in the nation to feature the Confederate battle emblem.

Voters elected to keep the flag, but recent protests against police violence and racial injustice after the death of George Floyd have renewed calls to rid the flag of the controversial design.

Eric Hudson talks producing for Justin Timberlake's 'Man of the Woods' - 6/10/20

Justin Timberlake's 'Man of the Woods' album cover

YouKnowIGotSoul, 6/9/20 --

We recently caught up with producer Eric Hudson for an interview on Instagram Live. During our conversation, we touched on his beginning as a producer, his work with Omarion on his "21" album, producing "Entourage", working with Kanye West on "Flashing Lights", co-producing with Buckwild, working with Lloyd on all of his albums, producing for Whitney Houston, working with Justine Skye from the beginning, his work on Justin Timberlake's "Man of the Woods" album, and more.

YouKnowIGotSoul: You did some work with Justin Timberlake on the "Man of the Woods" album and the sound you created with him was different than what I was used to.

Eric Hudson: He was trying to go for a country meets down south meets 808 meets R&B fusion. It was an experiment. I was brought in by Rob Knox, he's worked with Justin for years. It was just a dope vibe. I came through everyday to do the best I could do with what Justin wanted. We got "Morning Light" and "Hard Stuff". I was happy to be a part of it, I always wanted to work with JT. You had Pharrell and Chad in one room, and Timbaland and Danja in the next room, what more can you ask for? It was me and Rob in another room.

YouKnowIGotSoul: With a session like that, do all of the producers just create, or does Justin tell you exactly what he wants?

Eric Hudson: Nah, Justin told us the sound that he wanted and what he was looking for. Justin is dope too as a producer. He's very hands on, he's in there even with the drum programming to the keys. You'll start an idea but he'll come in on it.

Candace Owens Tells *NSYNC's Lance Bass to 'Shut Up' In Black Lives Matter Row - 6/9/20

Newsweek, 6/9/20 --

Candace Owens and Lance Bass have become embroiled in a strange Twitter fight when the former boyband star condemned the conservative pundit's views on George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement.

Taking to Facebook initially, Bass, 41, shared an article about how GoFundMe shut down Candace Owens' account for attacking Floyd's character. He wrote: "Anyone that uses this a****** to justify ANYTHING is well, an a******. This woman knows what she is saying is wrong. She does it to get PAID! Just like that Milo Yiannopolous fraud. #CandaceOwens is a fraud."

When Owens got word of the post, the controversial conservative hit out at Bass on Twitter, mocking his former musical career.

The vicious retort immediately gained thousands of likes and retweets, but Bass appeared unfazed by the drama and shot back with his own cutting remark.

"Oh and @RealCandaceO-it says more about you than me that you're using this this '4th string has-been back up dancer' to get attention for your book. And please, as if you didn't have my poster on your wall. WE SEE YOU."

He later added in a second tweet that he "never and would never question the 'blackness' of any black person," and shared an article which lists reasons why Owens is a "con artist."

Bass also ironically changed his bio to read: "He/Him. Host of @TheDailyPOPcast. Candice Owen's GBF." GBF stands for "gay best friend."

The feud is perhaps one of the more unexpected celebrity Twitter interactions to occur today but tensions remain high since the death of George Floyd and the subsequent widespread demonstrations against racism and police brutality.

Owens' GoFundMe account was suspended on Monday when she started a campaign [for] an Alabama bar whose co-owner called the late Floyd a "thug."

Lance Bass recalls *NSYNC's reaction to his coming out - 6/5/20

Lance Bass

Good Morning America, 6/5/20 --

*NSYNC's Lance Bass is opening up about his coming-out story.

In The Hollywood Reporter's Pride issue, which features an oral history of "How I Came Out in Hollywood," Bass described how he was "scared s---less" about people learning his secret the height of *NSYNC's popularity.

"The bigger we got, the more people are looking into your personal lives," he told the outlet. "I always knew I was gay. Five years old, I knew I was gay, but I also knew that it was something I'd have to hide the rest of my life because my Southern Baptist upbringing told me that."

"I knew, especially in the year 2000, that if anyone found out that I was gay, *NSYNC's career would be completely over, and these guys would hate me for the rest of my life," he recalled thinking.

But when he finally did come out to his band mates, that isn't what happened.

"The guys are still so pissed that I wasn't able to tell them when we were still a group...they absolutely don't care about me being gay," he said. "The thing that pissed them off the most is they thought that we could've had so much more fun together at the height of *NSYNC. I could've been my real self with them, and they wish they could've had that."

In an Instagram post from Thursday night, the "Sexy Back" singer urged his 58 million followers to not forget about Breonna Taylor, a black woman who was gunned down by police conducting a "no-knock warrant" in her own home on March 13.

Alongside a post containing the websites of helpful organizations like the NAACP, Color Of Change, and Center For Policing Academy, Timberlake wrote, "Yesterday I was happy to hear the other three officers were charged in the death of #GeorgeFloyd but today we mourn with the family who has laid him to rest. I send my sincere condolences and prayers to them."

"We also know no one has yet to be charged in the death of #BreonnaTaylor so there is more work to do to bring her justice," the caption continued. "There are crucial organizations on the ground who are doing the work to get her justice and do the work to end systematic racism."

"Please follow, donate and support their hard work," the 39-year-old concluded before tagging the five organizations he wishes his followers support: BYP 100, NAACP, Black Futures Lab, Movement for Black Lives and Center for Policing Equality.

*NSYNC members react to George Floyd's death - 5/30/20

View this post on Instagram

Those of us who call ourselves allies need to do everything in our power to stand with the black community right NOW. BLACK men and women are regularly being murdered unjustly by police. We have seen it. Over and over again. This has gone on in America for too long, and it's NEVER been okay. We have to take action, we have to make noise.โ € โ € For seven whole minutes, #GeorgeFloyd pleaded for his life, while Derek Chauvin, one of Minneapolis cops involved, kneeled on his neck and ignored those pleas for help.โ € โ € Allies... this is the time for us all to take a hard look in the mirror, share responsibility and ask our family and friends what can we do to educate our own communities. โ € โ € I stand with @ColorOfChange and countless others across the country to raise my voice alongside you, and demand that all FOUR officers involved are arrested and charged with murder now. Text FLOYD to 55156. Sign the petition. Don't stop.

A rocket launched today called the Falcon 9, and it brought out some celebrity fans in anticipation of it. William Shatner and Lance Bass both commented on the launch.

Here is what you need to know about the Falcon 9 and what the celebs had to say about it.

Also involved in the video message for the astronauts was former *NSYNC member Lance Bass.

For anyone curious about what Bass would have anything to say to the astronauts before launch, he was a wannabe cosmonaut at one time.

In August 2002, Bass entered cosmonaut training and was considered a finalist for a space competition show, representing the U.S. for a trip into space on the Russian Soyuz space capsule.

He has since served as an advocate for space travel and exploration.

"This is a good news story we all need," Bass said. He also joked, "You're taking self-isolation to a new level."

Lance Bass Celebrates HBO Max's 'Love Life' With Virtual Premiere Party - 5/26/20

Lance Bass

Variety, 5/26/20 --

Paul Feig has already taken quarantine happy hours to the next level, hosting cocktail-making classes with his wife, Laurie, on Instagram Live. So when it came to bartending the virtual after-party for the premiere of his new series "Love Life" on Thursday night, Feig was a natural.

Feig produced the HBO Max romantic comedy starring Anna Kendrick - which will be available when the streamer launches on May 27 - and celebrated the upcoming debut with attendees of the interactive event. At your average Hollywood premiere, the filmmaker would've likely been ushered into a VIP area to chat with the cast or the other famous guests. But for this party, Feig deftly mixed Manhattans and comedy while reading live comments from guests, who were just as interested in learning how to make the cocktails as they were about grilling the director for info about his latest works.

After screening the first two episodes of the series, guests - including series star Zoe Chao and Peter Vack, as well as Susan Kelechi Watson, Bridget Everett, Sherry Cola, Bellamy Young, Dan Bucatinsky, Harry Shum Jr., Lance Bass and Alex Newell (who also stars in the Feig-produced "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist") - headed to the virtual after-party, where they could choose between Feig's cocktail bar, a dance party with DJ Michelle Pesce, a live karaoke room or getting live love life advice from matchmaker Amy Van Doran. In the chat room in Feig's cocktail bar, Zelda Williams described the virtual event as "the best premiere ever."

Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter Teases Collaboration With *NSYNC - 5/23/20

*NSYNC

HollywoodLife, 5/22/20 --

Nick Carter, 40, and the Backstreet Boys put their 2020 DNA World Tour on hold until the COVID-19 outbreak slows down, but all this down time has gotten the pop star thinking about teaming up with other boy band members to give back, and it involves music. "Yeah, absolutely," Nick told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY during an Instagram Live on May 21, when we asked him about teaming up with *NSYNC and giving '90s teeny boppers the moment they've all been waiting for. "It would be really, really cool to collaborate with other artists. Absolutely."

Though nothing is officially happening just yet, Nick already has a few ideas in his head as to what a potential collaboration could look like. "I think you got to start maybe, maybe it's a song," Nick revealed from his Las Vegas backyard. "I had this idea recently that I was thinking about that I might talk to the guys about as well because I've been doing a lot of philanthropic things lately and finding ways to give back and using technology to help people and stuff like that and I thought it would be really cool to do like a 'We Are The World' song and find a specific charity, something that really would help people in time of need. We have all of the nurses and doctors and the first responders who are out there risking their lives on a daily basis, people like them, and just finding ways, trying to create new content. Maybe that would be a way to try to bring in groups like *NSYNC, all the other boy bands and other artists. Maybe kind of come up with something because I believe that towards the end of the year, people are going to hopefully really want to come together and help each other and lift each other's spirits up, but we'll see! I'm just riffing right now!"

After a successful run at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nick reveals the band could very well return to the stage for another residency. From the sounds of it, they're open to continuing the momentum with their fellow boy band friends when this pandemic ends to give the fans something to look forward to. "I fell in love with Vegas because we had done the residency for 2 years and it was very successful and we were very grateful for that," Nick added. "Coming back would be definitely, I think really cool and something to do, but we were right in the middle of a world tour and it is a really great tour. DNA, it's a big show, Backstreet Boys on top and the biggest production and all of these different things and people were really enjoying it and we were getting ready to do our second run but after that, it would definitely be really cool to come back to Vegas. I'm really good friends with all of the guys from *NSYNC. It would be cool to do some stuff together with the guys from *NSYNC."

From *NSYNC to Jonas Brothers, Which Boy Band Would You Want to Be Quarantined With? Vote! - 5/22/20

*NSYNC

Billboard, 5/21/20 --

Imagine for a moment that the world is in the middle of a pandemic and you're forced to quarantine with your favorite boy band. Now, only the first half of that sentence may be true, but the second half is quite the fun way to distract yourself from, you know, the global pandemic that's been happening for the past few months.

So in the spirit of generations of fandom, Billboard wants to know which boy band you'd choose to be stuck with in quarantine. Would you finally settle the eternal debate between Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC with your choice? Or would you rather be cooped up with an act that got its start in the next wave of boy band mania like the Jonas Brothers or One Direction?

Perhaps you'd choose a more recent up-and-coming group like Why Don't We or PrettyMuch, or maybe you'd want to quarantine with your favorite K-pop idols like BTS, NCT 127 or Monsta X.

No matter which boy band you choose to be your quarantine baes or buddies, vote in Billboard's poll and let your voice be heard!

Lance Bass: How I Spend a Typical Day in Quarantine During the Coronavirus Outbreak - 5/20/20

Us Weekly, 5/19/20 --

Lance Bass isn't ready to say "Bye, Bye, Bye" to quarantine lockdown just yet. The former *NSYNC member is sheltering in place with husband Michael Turchin and the duo have filled their time with puzzles, baking, building grills and, of course, some cocktails! Watch the exclusive video above to see how the couple has been passing the time in their Los Angeles home.

Getting Crafty
"My husband has taken over the [living room] as his art studio. It's pretty messy in here. I like to feel like I'm involved in his art even though I have no artistic bone in my body. I found that my puzzles really help with his artwork," Bass explained, while holding up some of his favorites. "A nice animal one, a space one, Santa Claus. I do a puzzle, I Mod Podge it and now it's a background of one of his paintings. How cool is that? And now I feel like I'm a part of his art."

Honey, I Baked!
Up next on the quarantine agenda? Bass makes Chrissy Teigen's three-ingredient chocolate mousse with salty Rice Krispies and hazelnut crackle. To see how it's done, watch him in action in the video above.

It's Cocktail Time
After assembling a grill on the patio with his hubby, Bass is ready for a cocktail. Using a mixer from his new Just Add X cocktail line, he makes a summery strawberry concoction. For the full recipe, scroll down or watch the video to see how it's done.

Justin Timberlake's an emotional wreck since becoming a dad - 5/16/20

Justin Timberlake

Yahoo News, 5/16/20 --

Justin Timberlake has "become a mess" since he became a father.

The 39-year-old singer-and-actor admitted he is much more emotional these days and watching five-year-old Silas - who he has with wife Jessica Biel - learn and develop often reduces him to tears.

Asked what makes him cry, he said: "I'm a softie, man. Watching your son learn the smallest thing can bring you to that place, for sure. I have become a mess since I became a father."

The 'Trolls World Tour' star sometimes struggles to express himself but finds it easier to find his voice in his songwriting, and the happier he feels, the easier it is to open up.

He said: "There are times, especially pre-coffee in the morning, where it's hard to express yourself.

"But through songwriting, I can sometimes express the complexity of an emotion that I couldn't otherwise.

"For me, the more I enjoy being an artist, a dad and a husband, I find the more I'm able to express that."

Justin is thankful he can be "picky" about the projects he can take on and he's always looking for something "really inspiring" that will justify him working away from his wife and son.

He added to OK! magazine: "I always want to continue to be inspired.

"At this point in my life, I can be picky about the projects I'm going to work on.

"I choose wisely because I know it takes a lot of time to do the type of work that I want to do, whether it's making music or a film - or both in the case of 'Trolls World Tour'.

"That time takes you away from your family, so it had better be something really, really inspiring."

WeHo's Nights In Fundraiser for Nightlife Workers Raises Nearly Three Times Its Goal - 5/11/20

Lance Bass

wehoville.com, 5/6/20 --

In less than two weeks, "Weho's Nights In," a local fundraising effort to support laid-off nightlife workers in West Hollywood, has raised over $22,000 in small donations, exceeding its original two-week target of $8,000. The fundraiser's name encourages people to enjoy virtual events in an effort to continue to provide a safe space to gather while social distancing is in effect. Each event promotes HelpWeho.com, which asks for donations of a few dollars that would usually equal tips for a night out on the town.

The fundraising effort so far culminated with a two-hour streaming Facebook Live event this past Sunday. The telethon-style event helped raise over $5,500 for the bartenders, waiters, entertainers, and staff members who have been laid-off and are struggling financially due to the Covid-19 pandemic. DJ Ryan Kenney brought a club atmosphere to life while hosts Butter (Cody Morris) and Kyle Langan kept participants informed of the special guests and the rolling amounts raised. Celebrity guests included Lance Bass from *NSYNC, Brian Jordan Alvarez from Will and Grace, Kelly Dodd from The Real Housewives of Orange County, and David Hernandez from American Idol, all of whom joined via Zoom or sent in video messages in support of the fundraiser. Lance Bass and Kevin Huvane of CAA offered matching donations in addition to their previous contributions to help encourage viewers to donate.

Applications for assistance opened on April 20, with the non-profit Alliance for Housing and Healing handling the application review and disbursement of funds. Given the success so far, the founders and a group of their supporters have pledged to keep going with future projects in order to give back to more members of the West Hollywood community and beyond. Anyone looking to make a donation or apply for assistance can do so on the WeHo's Nights In website.

Jax Taylor and Lance Bass Just Add X Mixers Are Perfect for Making Premium Cocktails at Home - 5/10/20

Lance Bass

Us Weekly, 5/8/20 --

Time to mix up your mixers! Jax Taylor and Lance Bass have launched a brand new mixer that will make anyone feel like they're sipping a cocktail in West Hollywood.

The former *NSYNC singer - who officiated the Vanderpump Rules star's wedding to Brittany Cartwright - is also his business partner. The two launched Just Add X - premium non-alcoholic mixers that allow consumers to choose their own spirit.

Their business partner, creative director James Kirtley explained to Us Weekly how the name Just Add X came to be. "It's an acronym for Jax of course - Just Add X - and the X stands for whatever spirit you want to add."

Bass, 41, loved the idea to create their own line of mixers after growing tired of ordering cranberry juice on nights out, and the trio wanted to cater to millennials who prefer to be their own mixologists at home. "We learned that the millennials out there, they're not drinking as much and they'd rather drink at home and be their own mixologist," the singer explained. "So we wanted to put the mixologist in their hands but make it very, very simple and easy."

The "Daily Popcast With Lance Bass" podcast host tells Us they focused on the simplicity of cocktail making, playing off of Taylor's lackluster bartending skills. "I thought it was so funny because of course the inspiration came from Jax being such a horrible bartender."

Lance Bass Is Still Hopeful About Starting Family After Surrogate Miscarriages: 'Not Giving Up' - 5/10/20

Lance Bass and Michael Turchin

People, 5/7/20 --

Lance Bass is not "giving up" on starting a family after experiencing multiple miscarriages via surrogate.

The 41-year-old singer recently opened up to PEOPLE about what it has been like trying to expand his brood, and how the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has impacted the process.

"Coronavirus has definitely affected [our plans to have a baby]," Bass tells PEOPLE. "We had bad luck around August and September of last year."

The former *NSYNC member explains that he and husband Michael Turchin were expecting when their surrogate became pregnant with twins. However, "we lost both of them."

Bass also revealed in March that after their ninth attempt at reaching fatherhood via an egg donor, it ended in heartbreak after their surrogate lost a baby boy at eight weeks gestation.

Despite the devastating news, Bass remains positive about his and Turchin's future. "We realized it's so common. We're trying not to get discouraged. The process has been so long," he says, adding that right before the pandemic intensified, he and Turchin had found a new donor.

"We wanted to bring her out to California and that was all [supposed to be] happening this month. Because of coronavirus, we can't fly her out here. I don't know when we can start creating the embryos. But hopefully sometime this year. We're not giving up," Bass adds.

Lance Bass and Jax Taylor's Just Add X Mixer Is Your Answer to Easy At-Home Cocktails - 5/10/20

Lance Bass

People, 5/7/20 --

Virtual happy hours have quickly become the main event for those practicing social distancing at home amid the coronavirus pandemic. And Lance Bass and Jax Taylor's new Just Add X mixer is the answer for an easy at-home cocktail, giving consumers the power to be their own bartenders.

Considering most of the U.S. is on lockdown and there are no bars to frequent, Bass and Taylor, 40, opted to launch the handcrafted non-alcoholic premium mixers on Tuesday - Bass' 41st birthday - after the global health crisis forced them to scratch their original plans.

"What's ironic about the whole thing is one of the reasons we started this company last year was because we saw the trend of people wanting to drink more at home. We had no idea that this lockdown would happen. It's exactly what's needed right now," Bass tells PEOPLE.

Just Add X is also introducing the stubborn mule, which blends "ginger root for an extra all-natural kick" plus "hints of spice and lime."

Lastly is blue teaz, a "unique blending of black tea, natural blueberries and lemon juice."

Bass suggests pairing blue teaz with whiskey.

Lance Bass And Jax Taylor Join Forces To Launch The Hottest New Cocktail Mixer For Millennials - 5/10/20

Lance Bass

Forbes, 5/7/20 --

Happy hour has just become a lot more fun and healthy, and with most people stuck at home, the new Just Add X hand-crafted mixer should prove to be perfect timing. Four best friends recently launched the brand; Lance Bass, Jax Taylor, JT Swierczek, and James Kirtley. Bass is the former iconic boy band member of *NSYNC, Taylor stars in the popular Bravo reality series "Vanderpump Rules," Swierczek is a beverage strategist, and Kirtley is a successful creative director.

Walking into Lance Bass's popular Rocco's bar in West Hollywood (pre-pandemic), the charming and handsome quartet of entrepreneurs were bubbling with excitement eager to chat about their new launch. This particular location and the nearby SUR Restaurant owned by Lisa Vanderpump were inspirations for the cocktail mixers developed by the team.

James and Jax met over 13 years ago and instantly became friends, "I based it off of that concept of Skinny Girl and Bethenny Frankel and how she used her platform to become this mega millionaire off just being on the "Real Housewives." Having Jax as a bartender on his show, we wanted to come up with something cool for millennials, so I came up with this mixer idea. Lance was another longtime friend of mine, and JT was friends with Lance, and our group came together quickly. The funny thing about all of this is that Jax was known as the worst bartender on his series."

Lance Bass thinks the timing is also right considering the popularity of influencers and social media. "What's so nice for influencers and celebrities, is they've finally found their power. You know, at the height of *NSYNC 20 years ago, we'd always get asked to be a spokesperson, Budweiser, Chili's, whatever, and we'd get paid and move on. Now, influencers know their power, and when they want to attach their name to something, they're looking for equity. Now people are smart enough to say, no, I want a piece of this. I want to be a business person."

On Tuesday, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and JC Chasez surprised fellow band member Lance Bass for his 41st birthday with a virtual Zoom party.

While his actual birthday was on Monday, the date of Bass' virtual party fell on Cinco de Mayo, prompting some of his partygoers to dress in themed outfits.

Bass later shared footage from his celebration on his Instagram, which featured special appearances from stars like Kristin Chenoweth, Colleen Ballinger, Shoshana Bean and Frankie Grande.

However, notably missing from the boy band reunion was Justin Timberlake, who did not make an appearance at the party.

Let's Duet: Inside Gary Barlow's Quarantine Hit 'Crooner Sessions' - 5/10/20

Variety, 5/5/20 --

It started as a gesture for fans stuck in quarantine, but in just six weeks, Gary Barlow's "Crooner Sessions" have snowballed into a hotly-anticipated Instagram event attracting everyone from fellow boy banders like JC Chasez and Niall Horan, to Jessie J, Queen rocker Brian May and British icon Sir Cliff Richard.

The Take That singer dreamed up the duet series after observing the coronavirus pandemic's toll on fans. "I thought, 'Wouldn't it be great if once a week, I do them a little duet,'" Barlow tells Variety, while making tea at his countryside retreat in the U.K. "We can't go on stages or into theaters. Maybe this is our new stage."

Emailing pals, he promptly heard back from Ronan Keating, who performed his Boyzone ballad "Baby Can I Hold You" with Barlow. Bandmates, like Robbie Williams, and others followed suit, including James Bay, Jason Donovan, Lulu and Chasez, who tackled Take That's 25-year-old smash "Back for Good."

Chasez says singing with Barlow was "a bucket list moment." "I've always been a fan of Take That, and Gary and I have a close relationship," he tells Variety. "This was the perfect way to feel connected creatively while staying home. It almost felt like we were in the same place recording."

"It's been so nice hooking up with people like JC, who I haven't seen for years," Barlow adds. "And that song's been with us so long. It's like a family member and takes me back to an amazing time. It's records like that (that) made it possible for us to reunite because those songs take people back to times in their lives, friends they had. They're great portals to chunks of time."

How Lance Bass is celebrating *NSYNCO de Mayo - 5/5/20

Page Six, 5/5/20 --

Lance Bass knows how to throw a fiesta.

Bass, 41, celebrated his birthday on Monday - and is getting ready to have fun for *NSYNCO de Mayo on Tuesday.

"I am celebrating *NSYNCO de Mayo by having some tacos of course since it also happens to be Taco Tuesday!" he told Page Six. "I also will be making plenty of margaritas using J.A.X's South of the Border mix! Who doesn't love a Mexican fiesta?!"

He also showed us how to make a Blueberry Booch cocktail. He may have had one or two of them on Monday as well during his many birthday festivities.

"I had one of the best birthday celebrations ever yesterday!" he said. "My friends and business partners from Bubble Tap Trailer threw me a car parade where I got to see a bunch of my favorite people and toast my birthday and we were sure to stay at least 6 feet apart! Then my husband surprised me with a series of three Zoom parties. One with my family, one with some Broadway friends and one with the *NSYNC guys."

"The night ended with my husband, assistant and friends surprising me with Buca De Beppo and a cake that looks like toilet paper!" he added. "It was really an amazing day and one I will never forget!"

Lance Bass Says He Didn't Think 'It's Gonna Be May' Meme Would Become a 'National Holiday' - 5/2/20

People, 5/1/20 --

It's that time of year.

As April cycles into May again, one thing can be certain: some version of an early 2000s era-Justin Timberlake proclaiming "It's gonna be May" is going to pop up on social media.

On Friday, to celebrate the day dedicated to *NSYNC's hit song "It's Gonna Be Me," band member Lance Bass appeared on Good Morning America via video chat to discuss the yearly tradition.

"Who knew it would become a national holiday this many years later," Bass, 40, admitted, going on to explain the origin of the meme.

"But it's thanks to a fan Kianna - she's the one who created it back in 2012, that meme, and it just blew up," he said.

The meme has become so popular that the song title is now paying tribute to the misheard line on streaming services, GMA co-anchor Amy Robach shared.

"The song has been changed on streaming services to now include the meme, at least until next week," she said, showing a photo of the song title on Spotify now appearing as "It's Gonna Be Me - It's Gonna Be May."

These Celebrities Are All of Us Performing Odes to Their Beds - NeNe Leakes, Lance Bass and More - 5/2/20

People, 5/1/20 --

These celebs love and admire their beds just as much as the next lounger!

In honor of bedding brand Brooklinen's sixth "birthday," a few famous faces, including Lance Bass, Real Housewives NeNe Leakes and Sonja Morgan, Queer Eye's Carson Kressley, Drag Race's Thorgy Thor recorded odes to their favorite bedtime essentials. The celebrities made the hilarious (and occasionally cringe-worthy) Cameo clips from home while social distancing, reciting poems - or in the case of Montell Jordon, crooning - with admiration for their sheets.

*NSYNC's Bass, 40, highlighted extra-comfortable covers for his part.

"Cloud-like comfort / We're perfect together / Need sleep? / We'll help you drift off / Perfect for hogging / Filled with polyfill or feathers / Covered in ultra-soft cloth," says the musician.

Lance Bass to support Los Angeles Zoo's Virtual Beastly Ball - 5/2/20

Lance Bass

NBC Los Angeles, 4/29/20 --

Is your flamingo outfit, the one with the pink tutu, hanging near the front of your armoire?

Of course it is, because you'd never let such a fabulous and frolicsome fashion item drift to the back of your clothes rack.

Best slip into it soon, or whatever animal outfit you feel best in, and make a date to attend the upcoming Beastly Ball.

For sure, this annual fundraiser for the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens is typically an in-person event, a party that finds human attendees in their finest frippery and fancy duds.

But the Beastly Ball is headed home in 2020, as the Griffith Park animal park is temporarily closed in response to COVID-19. Which means this: The first-ever virtual celebration is open to everyone, so stay in your jammies, dress in a tux, or go for some combo of the two, and tune in on May 15.

Joel McHale will host the early-evening affair, which raises "... critical funds to support the innovative, world-class animal care and conservation work of the Los Angeles Zoo." Slash, Lance Bass, and a host of other artists will make appearances during the straight-to-your-home celebration.

There's an auction, too, full of local adventures and animal-sweet happenings, the sort of to-dos to be enjoyed down the road.

To learn more about GLAZA's mission, and all that the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association does in its work, scurry, as quickly as a meerkat might, by the Beastly Ball site now.

*NSYNC's Chris Kirkpatrick Has a Surprisingly Simple Beef Jerky Recipe - and We Got Our Hands on It - 4/30/20

Chowhound, 4/30/20 --

The restaurant industry is undoubtedly one of the hardest hit by COVID-19 closures and we want to do everything we can to spotlight the impacted chefs, restaurants, and small businesses that deserve a little extra love and attention during these difficult times. With that said, I'm excited to introduce a condensed, virtual version of our video series, Take 5, which features your favorite public figures as they sit down for a quick, five-question interview to chat quarantine life and help bring awareness to our affected food communities.

First up is *NSYNC's Chris Kirkpatrick, who is sending a little Southern love from Nashville where he is craving barbecue, perfecting the science of homemade beef jerky, and spending quality time with his (ridiculously adorable - I'm biased because he's my cousin) two-year-old son, Nash. And since it's gonna be May (I couldn't resist), we could all use his jerky recipe to hold us over until a socially-distanced grilling season is officially in session.

'It's Gonna Be May': Say 'Bye Bye Bye' to April and cue the Justin Timberlake memes - 4/29/20

*NSYNC

Memphis Commercial Appeal, 4/29/20 --

Monday, May 4, is "Star Wars Day." An unofficial "holiday" originated by fans and enabled by social media, the date, derived from a pun ("May the Fourth Be With You"), almost certainly will receive more recognition than such calendar-sanctioned observances as Arbor Day, Flag Day and Patriot Day, as millions of fans around the world launch enough Jabba, Jar Jar and Baby Yoda memes to collapse an Imperial Star Destroyer.

Before that, however, a different pop-culture phenomenon with a distinct if no doubt occasionally overlapping fan base will celebrate its own goofy imaginary "holiday" - one with a Memphis connection.

For fans of NSYNC (written as *NSYNC on the band's Twitter account and merchandise website), April 30 has become "It's Gonna Be May Day," a day-before-May Day excuse to pay homage to Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez and the Memphis area's own Justin Timberlake, whose career as a solo hitmaker has eclipsed even his successful "boy band" heyday in the late 1990s and early 2000s, when he and the other aforementioned members of NSYNC sold more than 28 million albums.

The meme traces its origins to the 2000 hit single "It's Gonna Be Me" from NSYNC's second album, "No Strings Attached," which was made especially popular by its accompanying video, which depicts the boy banders as literal living dolls flirting with various crop-topped and bikini-bottomed quasi-Barbies on the shelves of a toy store.

Timberlake takes the lead vocals on the bouncy pop ditty. "Baby, when you finally get to love somebody, guess what - it's gonna be meee," he sings, but he pronounces the final word with a funkadelicized vibrato that makes "me" sound sort of like "May."

Latin Remix of the Week: Ovy on the Drums Gives Justin Timberlake & SZA's 'The Other Side' An Urban Twist - 4/23/20

Billboard, 4/21/20 --

Almost two months after SZA and Justin Timberlake dropped the futuristic-inspired music video for "The Other Side," part of the Trolls World Tour movie soundtrack, Ovy on the Drums presents the official remix.

The original bop, released Feb. 26, is a disco-infused funk song with inspirational lyrics about getting back on your feet and lifting your head up high.

On Monday, the Colombian producer, whose real name is Daniel Oviedo, revealed the remix, announcing on Instagram that he's happy to kick off the week with his SZA and Timberlake-assisted track. "It's a dream come true," he expressed. "Thank God and thank you to everyone who supports me. I hope you enjoy it, this is Big Ligas," he added, tagging his record label.

In the remix, Ovy adds his distinctive sound, giving "The Other Side" an urban-beat facelift.

"The Other Side" earns Timberlake his 35th career Hot 100 entry and SZA her 11th. Trolls World Tour, which stars Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, Kelly Clarkson and J Balvin, to name a few, was released April 10 via digital rental due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Adam Brody and Lance Bass Returning to 'Single Parents' - 4/21/20

Lance Bass

Entertainment Tonight, 4/21/20 --

Single Parents is welcoming back some friendly faces.

Adam Brody and Lance Bass are returning to the ABC comedy for the final episodes of season two, ET has exclusively learned.

Bass, meanwhile, returns as a heightened version of himself in the 21st episode, also airing May 6.

"If you've watched the show, you know that Lance Bass Space Camp is famously hard to get into. But when Graham unexpectedly gets accepted and leaves town, his mom is freed up to make some pretty bad decisions, which leads to... well, I should shut up before I give our finale away," [co-creator J.J.] Philbin teases.

ET sent off a few questions over email to Philbin about bringing back Brody, Meester's real-life husband, and Bass for another go-around.

Lance Bass is also returning for an episode. Why did you decide to have him back?

We flirted with the idea of the kids going to a different *NSYNC-themed camp -- "Joey Fatone Semester at Sea" got a lot of traction in the writers' room. But at the end of the day, Lance Bass is part of the Single Parents family, and the idea of him running a space camp never stops being funny for us. He's also the sweetest, happiest person and when we're lucky enough to get him, it's always a huge event to go hang out with him on set.

Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick talk 'Trolls World Tour' as film makes stellar online debut - 4/15/20

Trolls World Tour

Arab News, 4/15/20 --

LOS ANGELES: Schools, along with just about everything else, are closed, and thousands of parents have been left to figure out how to keep their kids entertained and indoors during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak.

NBCUniversal has come to their rescue by taking a risk and releasing its latest film, "Trolls World Tour," online on April 10.

The animated movie became the biggest digital debut of all time, Universal Pictures said on April 13, and topped platforms including Amazon, Comcast, Apple, Vudu, Google/YouTube, DirecTV, Verizon Fios, and FandangoNow.

Arab News spoke to the cast and crew about the making of the hit comedy adventure flick.

"I think the reason people connect with Trolls is there's a beautiful, humorous, loving way to bring you a message of diversity and how that should be celebrated and at the same time all this fantastic music," said Justin Timberlake, who voices one the lead characters called Branch and is also the film's executive music producer.

"Trolls World Tour" is an example of a sequel that takes the most popular aspect of the original movie and shines a spotlight on it. DreamWorks Animation's hit 2016 "Trolls" made an impact with its soundtrack, which went certified Platinum, and No. 1 single "Can't Stop the Feeling!"

The new film follows that path by centering itself entirely around music and once again stars Anna Kendrick (voicing Queen Poppy) alongside Timberlake, two trolls who discover their world is made up of six lands each based on a different genre of music.

Universal Says 'Trolls World Tour' Lands Biggest Digital Debut Ever - 4/13/20

Variety, 4/13/20 --

Universal announced Monday that "Trolls World Tour," a sequel to 2016's animated musical, landed the biggest debut for a digital release. The film took a bold step last weekend in launching on premium video on demand and in a handful of drive-in cinemas, bypassing a traditional run on the big screen since the coronavirus pandemic shut down most theaters.

The studio declined to provide any statistics to contextualize or support the superlative, but noted that "Trolls World Tour" is the No. 1 title across major on-demand video platforms, such as Amazon, Comcast, Apple and FandangoNow. Universal also said the movie had the biggest opening day and weekend for a digital title, generating approximately 10 times more than the next-largest traditional premium home video release. Universal did not disclose box office earnings from the 21 drive-in locations that played the film this weekend.

FandangoNow backed up the online benchmark, reporting Monday that "Trolls World Tour" generated the best weekend sales in the history of the VOD streaming service.

"Following weeks of anticipation for its home premiere, 'Trolls World Tour' is now FandangoNow's streaming debut champ, with the best preorders, first day and opening weekend sales we've ever seen," FandangoNow head Cameron Douglas said in a statement. "We're pleased that families looking for a much-needed entertainment break are enjoying DreamWorks Animation's latest movie on our service."

"Trolls World Tour" is notable because it marks the first film from a major studio to break the standard theatrical window, which is traditionally 90 days, and open simultaneously on home entertainment platforms. Patrons were charged $19.99 to rent the movie, geared toward family crowds, for 48 hours.

'Can't Stop the Feeling' one of the most-played songs of the 2010s - 4/13/20

Can't Stop the Feeling

Forbes, 4/13/20 --

Pharrell Williams's "Happy" has been revealed as the most-played song of the decade. The long-term list of broadcasts is published as cheer-up songs surge during coronavirus lockdown, such as another track featuring Williams, "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk along with Nile Rodgers.

The list was compiled by music listening company PPL (Phonographic Performance Ltd) from his license records of the songs played most on U.K. TV and radio over the last ten years. Music analysts said that many of the tracks are worldwide hits, so they will undoubtedly appear on the lists for many other countries, especially the Grammy-winning "Happy." The relentlessly catchy and upbeat song became 2014's best-selling single around the globe with 13.9 million sales that year alone, including equivalent streaming units. Williams featured in the Forbes Celebrity 100 in 2o15, when he had $32 million earnings. His wealth has since been boosted by production work and fashion lines.

"Happy" was first written for the computer-animated movie Despicable Me 2. Another animated film, Trolls, led to another hit single, "Can't Stop The Feeling!" by Justin Timberlake, which is in fifth place.

Looking flustered, Justin replied: ''Uhm. Well, you put me on the spot. It takes a little bit of practice!'

Kelly joked: 'I've got loads of time [laughs]. I've not got anything else!'

'I'll give you a few phonetic sounds where you can start', Justin tells her. 'This is my first Zoom beatbox lesson, probably my last... we'll go for it...'

The brunette beauty boldly declared: 'I'm quite good, I can pick up stuff really quick.'

However, it turned out to be a case of famous last words for Kelly, since she failed dismally at recreating the sounds Justin was coaching her to make.

Stiffling a giggle, Justin said: 'I'm laughing with you'.

Trolls

People, 4/11/20 --

Many parents, including celebrities, couldn't wait for the release of Trolls World Tour - and not just because they were running out of activities to keep their kids entertained while social distancing.

As the animated sequel made its at-home debut on Friday, stars and their kids expressed their excitement with many gathering around their screens to watch as a family.

"Thank you @dreamworks for making our quarantine so much more fun today.. I seriously lovedddd #trollsworldtour," Jenna Dewan shared on Instagram Friday along with a video of her daughter Everly, whom she shares with ex-husband Channing Tatum, dancing as the movie played on their television.

In the footage, Dewan, 39, could be seen dancing to the music as she cradled her 5-week-old son Callum, whom she welcomed in March with fiancé Steve Kazee.

Kim Kardashian West's kids were also elated to watch the Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick-starring movie. "Guys I came home after doing my confessionals and it looks like we're on the second, our third time watching Trolls 2. Saint, how many times have you watched this?" the mom of four, 39, said in a video on her Instagram Story as daughter Chicago and son Psalm could be seen in the background.

In another video, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality star wrote: "Trolls 2 will keep us occupied for days."

Justin Timberlake sends 'Trolls World Tour' joy from family quarantine: 'It's a surreal time' - 4/10/20

Trolls World Tour

USA TODAY, 4/10/20 --

The 2016 animated hit "Trolls" required Justin Timberlake to work it globally, promoting the glitter-and-song filled musical comedy with an international press tour, gala red carpets and yukking it up on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon."

It's been a way different story for the 2020 sequel "Trolls World Tour," which had the world tour nixed because of the global shutdown brought by the coronavirus pandemic. Last month, Universal and DreamWorks studios made the unprecedented decision to release the sequel on home-streaming video-on-demand platforms Friday as theaters shuttered nationwide last month.

"It's a surreal time for sure," Timberlake says, speaking by phone from his Montana home where he's quarantining with wife Jessica Biel and their 5-year-old son, Silas.

In a telling piece of promotional improv, the ruggedly bearded, flannel-wearing Timberlake goofed via video Wednesday with Jimmy Fallon for "Quarantine Remix" from his isolated Montana home - banging pots, brushing his teeth and giving frequent looks into the refrigerator.

"Jimmy and I jumped on the phone and started brainstorming like, 'What do you have in your house that I have in my house?' Cause it'd be funny," says Timberlake, who admits he really can't fight the feeling of constant refrigerator checks in his own kitchen. "Yeah, I'm sure I'm not alone in that. It's interesting that we're all isolated, but we're all probably doing the same things."

Even talking "Trolls" now requires strategy and maneuvering many families can relate to. "Give me a second, hold on," he says shuffling as doors close behind him. "Let me put some AirPods in to block out everyone in my house. It's just in case my child gets loud."

But such adjustments are small potatoes, as the film's voice star portraying troll Branch and music executive producer is cognizant to the greater situation.

"For me and my family, our biggest concern right now is we just want to do our part, staying in, staying put, trying to stay positive," says Timberlake. "We're finding the silver lining. This is one of those times where you get to spend a lot of time with your family."

Even if it does get loud.

Justin Timberlake Reveals What Son Silas Really Thinks About 'Trolls World Tour' - 4/10/20

E! Online, 4/10/20 --

Justin Timberlake has already screened Trolls World Tour for his biggest critic. We're, of course, talking about his 5-year-old son, Silas Randall Timberlake.

E!'s own Justin Sylvester learned Silas' thoughts on the new animated film, which is now available to rent on demand, during a sit down with Anna Kendrick and Timberlake. As E! readers surely know, the Pitch Perfect alum and the "Can't Stop the Feeling" artist are reviving their characters, Poppy and Branch, from the first film.

And, while it may seem hard to believe, Trolls World Tour has even more to offer than its predecessor. Thus, it wasn't surprising to hear that young Silas has already taken to the new trolls introduced in the sequel.

"I feel like I would've loved the techno trolls," Kendrick quipped while discussing the new characters. "They're all like, floaty and I would love that."

"That's what he said," the *NSYNC alum noted in regard to his son's favorite troll. "The Trochellas. The Cotrollas?"

Timberlake, who also serves as the executive producer for the soundtrack, was blown away by the talent he worked with. In addition to the returning cast members, Timberlake collaborated with SZA and Anderson Paak for new singles.

According to Timberlake, his son was equally impressed with the new music for the Trolls universe.

"He's heard the soundtrack! He loves the song that Anna starts off, it's called 'Just Sing,' the whole cast is in it," Jessica Biel's husband added. "And he really loves the song with Anderson Paak."

Timberlake said he was most excited to introduce Silas to George Clinton's "Atomic Dog," which was reworked for the soundtrack. Yet, it appears Silas is struggling to grasp the difference between a cover and an original song.

Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake Surprise Kids of Volunteer Coronavirus Nurse on Video Chat - 4/10/20

People, 4/10/20 --

Stacie Kelly is an emergency room nurse currently fighting on the front lines of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in New York City - and her four kids and husband Mark, back home in Gardner, Kansas, couldn't be prouder.

On Friday, Hoda Kotb told the family's story on the Today show, revealing that Stacie volunteered to travel to the outbreak-heavy N.Y.C. to help out, working 15-hour shifts in different hospitals around the city.

And her children - Camryn, 4, McClain, 6, Delaynie, 8, and Sullivan, 10 - got the surprise of a lifetime via video chat. After telling Kotb, 55, how proud they are of their mom (who "doesn't want any people to die," explained Sullivan), the anchor told the kids she heard that they love Trolls.

Seconds later, Justin Timberlake, who voices Branch in the new sequel Trolls World Tour, out Friday, and Anna Kendrick (who voices Poppy) popped up in the video chat, leaving the four kids shocked.

"Hi Poppy!" one of the kids told Kendrick, 34, who was visibly touched and replied, "You guys are so cute!"

Kendrick then asked the kids, "Are you guys so proud of your mom? You must think she's the best mom in the world," to which they responded, "Yes!" and Timberlake added, "She's my hero, for sure."

After Kendrick got the siblings to admit Poppy was their favorite troll ("She does this to every child," Timberlake joked), she told them, "You must be so, so proud of your mom, and we're really grateful to her."

"We're really grateful to you, Dad, for holding down the fort with those four little angels," she addressed Mark, joking, "I'm sure that they give you no trouble and that they do everything you ask them to do."

"Mark, I got one 5-year-old and it's hard for me to get him to sleep, so I don't know how [you do it]. You're my other hero, bro," said Timberlake, 39.

Can't Stop the Sequels! See How Many 'Trolls' Movies Justin Timberlake Wants to Make - 4/9/20

Billboard, 4/9/20 --

It's no secret that Justin Timberlake has loved working on the Trolls franchise, both voicing pop troll Branch and serving as executive music producer for the two films' soundtracks. And he's not ready to stop at Trolls World Tour.

"I hope we make, like, seven Trolls movies, because it literally is the gift that keeps on giving," Timberlake said during his Apple Music takeover on Thursday (April 9). "You get to go to work and create something that's outside of how you see yourself as an artist. And for me, it's interesting too, being able to work in film as an actor and being able to work in music as a performer, singer, songwriter, producer, whatever -- it's just one of those things that I just never thought those two worlds would mesh in an animated film."

Timberlake spent his hourlong special sharing stories of the songs on the Trolls World Tour soundtrack, also diving into the film's overall message of diversity. The "Can't Stop the Feeling!" singer explained that the biggest goal for Trolls World Tour was advocating for inclusion, which is presented through the genre-based characters that are introduced in the second film, encompassing pop, rock, techno, classical, funk and country.

Justin Timberlake Reveals If Quarantine Is Helping or Hindering His Relationship with Jessica Biel - 4/9/20

Just Jared, 4/9/20 --

Justin Timberlake made a socially distant appearance on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up and was asked about his marriage to Jessica Biel amid the quarantine.

"Do you feel this quarantine has helped your relationship or hindered it?" host Nicole Ryan asked him.

"We thought the best way to kinda do our part...we have a place in Montana. We feel very lucky and kind of blessed...we're in a place where, they're pretty socially distant here anyway, where our place is. Just being able to kind of walk out into your driveway, maybe go for a little hike," Justin said about their quarantine.

"We're doing good. We're mostly commiserating over the fact that...just 24 hour parenting is not human," Justin said.

Reality Tea, 4/7/20 --

Justin Timberlake Takes You Behind-the-Scenes of Trolls World Tour with Anna Kendrick and SZA - 4/7/20

People, 4/7/20 --

Justin Timberlake is back in his musical element in Trolls World Tour.

The performer returns for the sequel to the 2016 hit original to voice Branch alongside Anna Kendrick's Poppy - and PEOPLE has an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how the music for the film came together!

"After working on Trolls, I knew we were going to expand our world," says Timberlake - who also serves as an executive music producer on the project - in the video. "I just got incredibly excited. I felt like a kid again."

Trolls World Tour finds Poppy and Branch embark on an adventure where they travel to different Trolls lands that each represent different forms of music.

"Music is called the universal language for a reason," Timberlake says. "It can make you feel just about anything. It can be loud and defiant, happy and funky, or sad and slow. It's such a colorful, vibrant experience to go with all that music. My favorite thing about making music or movies is getting to show people how we relate to one another. If it's through our diversity, through our likenesses, or both, it's a wonderful experience."

In addition to Timberlake and Kendrick, Grammy nominee SZA makes an appearance in the clip, singing her collaboration with Timberlake, "The Other Side."

Justin Timberlake, Anderson .Paak Party at Anna Kendrick's House in 'Don't Slack' Video - 4/7/20

Rolling Stone, 4/6/20 --

Justin Timberlake and Anderson .Paak - and their respective characters in Trolls: World Tour - cheer up a housebound Anna Kendrick in the new video for "Don't Slack."

Although the video itself was filmed in February, it parallels our current quarantined and self-isolated situation, with a sullen Kendrick (who also voices a character in the animated film) slowly brightened up by the two singers who have invaded every inch of her household.

"Don't Slack" follows Timberlake and SZA's "The Other Side." Like the original 2016 film, Timberlake served as the executive music producer on the Trolls World Tour soundtrack, which also features songs from George Clinton, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Dierks Bentley, Haim and more.

The film itself was originally due out in theaters on April 10th, but - due to the COVID-19 pandemic - will instead premiere on video-on-demand on that date.

People, 4/6/20 --

World War II veteran Chuck Franzke's got that good soul in his feet!

On Monday, the former navy pilot, 97, provided Monday motivation to social media users when Instagram account Good News Movement shared a sweet video of Franzke's getting his dance on to Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling!" while social distancing in Wisconsin.

The clip opens up with Franzke emerging in the doorway of his home as Timberlake croons on the song, "I feel that hot blood in my body when it drops (ooh) / I can't take my eyes up off it, movin' so phenomenally."

Franzke continues to sway left and right before making his way onto the front porch. The veteran then taps his feet back and forth while rolling his arms in the air. He later shuffles his arms on his sides while continuing to show off impressive footwork.
